25 years later, we remember—and continue to serve. ❤️
In the days following September 11, 2001, The Salvation Army mobilized to serve first responders, recovery workers and communities impacted by the attacks. The archival photo below captures a Salvation Army canteen and volunteer serving in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, following the crash of Flight 93.
This September, our Emergency Disaster Services team is honored to continue that legacy of service right here in Northern Utah as part of the Cache Valley Days of Service & Commemoration Celebration.
The Salvation Army will have our EDS canteen and volunteers on site Saturday, September 12, helping distribute food, connecting with the community and sharing the story of The Salvation Army’s response following 9/11.
