These are the upcoming meetings in the City of Livonia for the upcoming week beginning June 8th. If you want to see what may be on the agenda for a particular meeting you can go to www.livonia.gov , look under the tab entitled Your Government and go to the page associated with the group. For example, if you go to the City Council page it’s under the 2026 City Council Meeting and Committee Schedule. On the side (left side will be the agenda and supporting documents. Not all commissions and committees are set up the same way.
+ Livonia City Council Finance and Budget Committee Meeting June 8, 2026 (Monday) 7:00PM. Livonia City Hall Auditorium. Agenda is Annual Audit Reports for the period December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2025.
+ Livonia Zoning Board of Appeals June 9, 2026 (Tuesday) 7:00PM. Livonia City Hall Auditorium. Agenda includes:
1. APPEAL CASE NO. 2025-11-36, Joshua Engels, 20160 Milburn Avenue
(tabled on January 6, 2026 and rescheduled from April 7, 2026): Seeking
to maintain an illegally erected 6-foot-tall privacy fence resulting in a privacy
fence erected in the side yards forward toward the street beyond the rear
corner of the dwelling, which is prohibited.
2. APPEAL CASE NO. 2026-05-04, Abby and Shawn Head, 28202 Gita
Avenue: Seeking to erect a six (6) foot tall wood privacy fence on a corner lot
resulting in a privacy fence erected in a side corner lot that will not align with a
similar fence on the neighboring lot and a privacy fence that is forward toward
the front of the lot beyond the rear corner of the house.
3. APPEAL CASE NO. 2026-05-06, Sara West and Brian Schreck, 11300
Cranston Avenue: Seeking to erect an addition with a new attached garage
resulting in a deficient rear yard setback.
+Livonia Planning Commission Study Meeting June 9, 2026 (Tuesday) 7:00PM. City Hall Fifth Floor Gallery. Agenda includes:
1. Petition 2026-05-02-13 submitted by Luxe Event LLC requesting waiver use approval
under Sections 2.01, 3.11, and 6.14 of the Livonia Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to
operate a banquet (event) facility with occupancy of over fifty (50) people, at 27600
Schoolcraft Road, located on the north side of Schoolcraft Road between Inkster Road
and Cardwell Street in the southeast ¼ of Section 24.
2. Petition 2026-05-02-14 submitted by Oval Auto requesting waiver use approval under Sections 3.11 and 6.06 of the Livonia Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to operate an
automobile repair facility, at 28755 Plymouth Road, located on the south side of
Plymouth Road between Garden Street and Harrison Street in the northeast ¼ of
Section 36.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEM
3. Petition 2026-05-08-02 submitted by Chipman Design Architecture on behalf of
Chick Fil A requesting site plan approval pursuant of Section 3.11 of the Livonia Zoning
Ordinance, as amended, to include a windscreen between the existing columns by the
drive-thru door at 11700 Middle Belt Road located on the corner of Middle Belt and
Plymouth Roads in the southwest 1/4 of Section 25.
