Hi at last night's Planning Commission Meeting it was learned that one of the items was the public hearing on the Livonia Vision 21 Book 5 Housing Sustainability.

If you are like me this was a surprise as I did not know that Book 5 Housing Sustainability to the Vision 21 Plan was out for public comment nor was it the final public hearing. I was under the impression from the City Council Meeting that approved the release that there would have been a better notification that it was out for public comment and when a public hearing was going to be held before the 45 day public comment period closed.

Thankfully the Livonia Planning Commission was surprised there were no public comments on Book 5. They were also surprised when residents said they did not know it was released for public comment. Thankfully they said let's put the brakes on this and put it out and let the public know using social media as we all said there were many comments out there about housing sustainability.

So ahead of the formal notice from the City's Planning Department I am attaching Book 5 Housing Sustainability to Vision 21 to this post for you to review. Not sure what email address the City Planning Department will use to receive comments so please save them and when we know it we will post it. Also hopefully they will have a public meeting like the Planning Commission requested.

Thank you to the Livonia Planning Commission Members who recognized the residents were not aware of the public comment period of this document!
