💜🩵 Every Name Has a Story. Every Story Deserves to Be Remembered. 🩵💜

At Stay; Landon's Legacy, we believe that every life leaves an imprint on our community. Every laugh shared, every friendship made, every family forever changed deserves to be acknowledged.

As we continue our mission to reduce the stigma surrounding su***de and support those affected by loss, we are creating a community remembrance project honoring Park County residents who have died by su***de within the last five years.

We are asking for your help.

If you have lost someone, we invite you to share their name through our remembrance form. With your permission, their name may be included in future memorial displays, awareness campaigns, community events, social media tributes, printed materials, or other projects that honor their life and encourage conversations that save lives.

This isn't about statistics.

It's about sons and daughters.
Parents and grandparents.
Brothers and sisters.
Friends, classmates, teammates, coworkers, neighbors, and loved ones.

It's about making sure they are remembered and that their lives continue to inspire hope, compassion, and change in our community.

You do not have to be an immediate family member to submit a name. We welcome submissions from family members, friends, classmates, teammates, coworkers, and anyone whose life was touched by someone they lost, as long as you are comfortable with the permissions you select on the form.

And if you're not ready to share yet, that's okay too. Grief has no timeline, and there is no right or wrong way to remember someone you love.

Together, we can honor those we've lost while reminding those who are struggling today that they are seen, they are valued, and they are never alone.

💜 Stay;
Strong Enough to Speak.

June is Men’s Mental Health Month! 🤍 🧠

In 2025, conversations with boys and men most often centered around anxiety and stress. Many also shared experiences of loneliness, bullying, and substance use.

These challenges remind us how important it is to talk openly, check in with each other, and create space where emotions don’t have to be hidden or carried alone.

Two things live inside me now.

A grief so deep
it reshaped my entire life.

And a pride so powerful
it refuses to disappear
even on my worst days.

Because I raised my son.

I got to watch him become
someone kind.
Someone unforgettable.
Someone who made this world softer
just by being in it.

And now I carry both truths together.

The unbearable ache
of losing him.

And the overwhelming honor
of being his mother.

Some days
those two feelings sit side by side
so closely
I can barely separate them.

But maybe that is what loving a child forever looks like.

The grief remains
because the love remains.

And both of them
will stay with me
for the rest of my life.

Hi everyone, my name is Jane Larkin and I am the cofounder of Stay; Landon’s Legacy, the board chair, and also Landon’s mom. It is my honor and my privilege to serve on a board whose mission is to help youth feel seen, safe, and supported and to normalize conversations about mental health and su***de.

I was born in Flushing, New York (the youngest of 7 children) where we lived until my father’s job took us to Mentor, Ohio. In August of 2004, I followed my dream of moving to Montana and a little over a year later, I landed in Livingston where I met, and married, my husband of almost 19 years, Kevin Larkin.

Kevin and I started our family shortly after we were married and we could not be more proud of our 3 sons, Cody, Landon, and McKennon. Throughout the years, we made incredible memories with the boys doing ALL the things - sports, four-wheeling, swimming, dirt bikes, rodeos, family trips, 4H, BBQ’s, picnics, parades. We had so many laughs and so much fun.

On November 19, 2025, all of our lives were changed forever when our middle son, 15 year old Landon, died by su***de. There aren’t any words to describe the loss of a child. It is an emptiness and a pain that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. The person I used to be died with my son and I am slowly navigating my new normal - my new self. It is heartbreaking to watch my husband and my other sons as they too, struggle to cope and figure out how to move forward without Landon.

And it is for all of these reasons that my friend Brandie and I cofounded Stay; Landon’s Legacy. If we can save just one life, then all of the work we do is worth it💜🩵

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.

This image is a powerful reminder that pain doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

The men shown here were talented, successful, admired, and loved by millions. Yet behind the applause, the achievements, and the smiles, some were fighting battles that few people could see.

For generations, men have been told to "man up," stay quiet, push through, and carry their struggles alone. Too often, vulnerability is mistaken for weakness when, in reality, speaking up is one of the bravest things a person can do.

Mental health does not discriminate. It affects athletes, musicians, actors, fathers, sons, brothers, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. No amount of success, popularity, or strength makes someone immune.

This June, let's work to break the stigma surrounding men's mental health. Check on your friends. Ask the hard questions. Listen without judgment. Create spaces where men feel safe saying, "I'm not okay."

You never know what someone is carrying behind the smile they share with the world.

💜💙 If you're struggling, please know this: asking for help is not weakness. It is strength. And you do not have to carry it alone.

💙💜

Hello everyone! My name is Brandie Boese, and I am the CEO and co-founder of Stay; Landon's Legacy. I am also the voice behind much of our organization's social media presence, including our Facebook and Instagram accounts, where I help share our mission, connect with our community, and keep Landon's Legacy alive through storytelling, education, and outreach.

I moved to Livingston in 2007 with my future husband Delroy, and we've proudly called this community home ever since. Together, we have six children, five of whom still live at home. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management along with a Certificate in Digital & Social Media Marketing.

My connection to Landon began through my oldest son, Kyler. Although Kyler and Landon attended school together for most of their lives, it wasn't until the end of seventh grade, through wrestling, that they became friends. Their friendship was immediate and genuine. It felt like they had known each other forever. Through wrestling, I also met Jane Larkin, and we quickly became close friends ourselves.

When Landon died by su***de, my family was devastated. We loved Landon, and watching the Larkin family navigate such an unimaginable loss was heartbreaking. Like so many others in our community, I wanted to help, even though I knew nothing I could do would ever be enough to ease their pain.

One evening, I approached Jane with an idea. I wanted to create a tribute website for Landon, a place to honor his memory while raising awareness about su***de in our community. She said yes, and I immediately created our page. Jane and I continue to run that page together today.

What neither of us expected was how Livingston would respond. The offers of support began pouring in almost immediately. People wanted to volunteer, donate, share ideas, and help us make a difference. Both Jane and I were shocked. We had never intended to start a nonprofit so quickly. But the community made it clear that this was bigger than either of us.

So we rolled with it.

Within three months, Stay; Landon's Legacy became a fully functioning and legally recognized nonprofit organization in the State of Montana. What started as a simple tribute to a young man we loved grew into a mission dedicated to raising su***de awareness, supporting survivors, reducing stigma, and creating hope for the youth and families of Park County.

The support we have received from Livingston and Park County has far exceeded our wildest dreams. Every donation, volunteer hour, shared post, kind word, and act of encouragement has helped us continue this work. I am deeply grateful to every person who has chosen to support our mission and help us keep Landon's legacy alive. Together, we are creating something meaningful from unimaginable loss, and I truly believe our community is changing lives because of it.
