We are deeply honored to share that the Livingston Taiwanese Association (LTA) received the Taiwanese American Heritage Week Proclamation from Livingston Township on May 11, 2026.
Since 1999, communities across the United States have recognized the week following Mother’s Day as Taiwanese American Heritage Week — a time to honor the history, culture, and contributions of Taiwanese Americans.
Taiwanese Americans have long embraced the values of democracy, freedom, education, hard work, and community service — values that deeply reflect the spirit of the United States and the character of Livingston itself. Here in our township, Taiwanese American families, students, professionals, and volunteers continue to contribute to the strength and richness of our community.
Recognizing May 10 through May 17 as Taiwanese American Heritage Week is more than a proclamation. It is a meaningful recognition of diversity, inclusion, and the people whose contributions help make Livingston such a welcoming and thriving community.
We are sincerely grateful to Livingston Township, the Mayor, and Township Council for joining communities across the nation in recognizing Taiwanese American Heritage Week.
Together, we celebrate our heritage, our shared values, and the vibrant diversity that strengthens our community.
