Colorado Paralysis Foundation’s Caregiver Training Program, is a two-day, hands-on training designed specifically for healthcare providers who want to make a real difference in the lives of Coloradans living with spinal cord injuries. It will be held locally and supported at the in Lakewood, CO.

You'll train alongside other up and coming healthcare providers, skilled instructors and actual volunteer individuals living with paralysis in our community. Upon completion of the program, every participant receives a certificate of completion from the Colorado Paralysis Foundation that will further your healthcare career and leave a lasting, positive impact in the Colorado paralysis community.

A highlight of the class is a $300 completion stipend, provided to participants through support from the , just for completing the program.
CPF is an independent affiliate of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Hello, Colorado! 👋

The Colorado Paralysis Foundation, or CPF, is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2024 and based in Denver, Colorado. We were created to support individuals living with spinal cord injuries, along with their families and caregivers, right here in our state.

CPF was founded in 2024 by EB (Elizabeth) Forst, DPT, a woman living with quadriplegia, who is a professional writer, advocate and trailblazer in the Colorado spinal cord community. Her lived experience is the foundation of everything we do.

We’ve created a groundbreaking hands-on caregiver training program that is the first of its kind.
Our mission is to support individuals living with a spinal cord injury, along with their families and caregivers right here in Colorado.

We do this through:
- Our quarterly hands-on Caregiver Training Program held at
- A robust library of vetted local and national resources available on our website
- Financial grants focused on education, improved access within the home, and therapeutic recreation opportunities.

One of the things that makes CPF's Caregiver Training Program totally unique is that participants practice hands-on skills with real clients living with spinal cord injuries. CPF provides a small group setting with one-on-one direct instruction from trained medical professionals.
