Hi! Buster's Mom here. Buster is mad at me. We trimmed all his toes, gave him a potty cut and cleaned his ears. For all that I was rewarded with him spraying me with his a**l glands. P*e U!

My boy is getting cranky in his old age, I guess. Let's see what he does to me the next time. 😹

Well today is finally here. It is Buster Back Day! The day when Buster finally returned home after being missing for 65 days, 9 years ago. Please read Buster's full story at: https://nationalkitty.com/mitten-paws-reunited-with-mom .

There are some sad updates to this story. On June 3, 2022, Harry passed away from bone cancer and in August of 2022, Huck passed away from cancer. Thank goodness for Mike, Margo and the Black Mafia! They comforted Buster with all the love they could give him and still do today. Then on April 7th, 2023, Dad Johnny passed away from a serious fall. (Dad Johnny had Parkinson's Disease.) Mom Stacy and the whole house were devastated. However, Mom Stacy knew she needed to be strong and made sure they all and, especially Buster, had Mom to lean on to get through their grief. So, she did make sure they all (and especially Buster), had the love and comfort they could stand. Now, they are all settled and still missing Mom Moira and Dad Johnny, but they have accepted the loss by always remembering.

Buster today, still occasionally sports his fashions, but as he grows older (Buster is now 16!) he likes not to be fussed with, but would rather sleep with Mom or eat pizza. Of course today Buster will have pepperoni pizza for lunch with Mom!

Hi! Buster and the gang here.

It looks like we are going to be under heat advisories and warnings over the next few days/weeks.

Please remember your furries and humans who have to be outside in all this mess.

Make sure they have fresh water and shade available and if possible keep them inside where it is cool. Provide food too, it needed. This goes for all wild and tame animals, including our pollinators, such as, bees of any kind, and birds.

It is too hot for words! I'm going to stay on this bed and wait for it to cool off!

Make sure all your furry ones have plenty of water today, especially if they are outside. Also make sure they have shade.

Today we remember all those who gave their lives for this country or fought for this country.

Toby has found the perfect way to spend a cool rainy day...just take a looong nap! He came to his colony in 2019 when his caregiver heard him crying from a vacant house and meowed back at him til he came to her. He was TNR'd and this has been his home ever since! Over the years we TNR'd 30 cats at this location after neighbors who fed but didnt spay/neuter left and the cats from both places made their way to Toby's caregiver's house looking for food. They got food but even more importantly FuRR was contacted and everyone was altered. Over the years the colony has gotten smaller and smaller...that's TNR working as it should! Now Toby and his friend Coal have the yard and their caregiver all to themselves! Pics are Toby snoozing the day away, A young Toby and Coal, Toby's friend.

TNR works and sometimes these wonderful cats make lifelong friends.
