You won't want to miss this year's event because bestselling author, international speaker, and ASPSF alumna Cara Brookins is taking the stage!

With no construction experience, Brookins and her four young children built a two-story house in Bryant by watching YouTube tutorials. They laid block, framed walls, and even ran plumbing and gas lines.

Cara’s actionable strategies from that unlikely construction site help audiences build adaptitude so they can adapt to change, overcome odds, and thrive in any situation.

"I didn't know how I was going to pay for school."

As a single mom, Army National Guard veteran, and first-generation college graduate, Kristy Browning faced obstacle after obstacle on her journey to earning her degree.

At ASPSF's first-ever Donor Reception, Kristy shared how donor support helped her stay enrolled, overcome unexpected financial challenges, and create a brighter future for herself and her daughter.

Because of donors like you, single parents across Arkansas aren't just earning degrees. They're changing the trajectory of their families for generations to come. ❤️

Watch Kristy's powerful story and hear why your support matters.

What an incredible evening!

On June 2, we welcomed donors, volunteers, board members, community partners, and friends to our first-ever ASPSF Donor Reception at the CALS Rooftop in Little Rock.

Together, we celebrated a record-breaking year of impact and the people who make it possible. Because of your generosity, Arkansas single parents are earning degrees, securing better careers, and creating brighter futures for their families.

A special thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved sharing stories of hope, perseverance, and transformation, including hearing from ASPSF recipient Kristy Browning about her journey and the difference your support has made in her life.

Thank you for supporting the ASPSF mission!

Shae Hughes knows firsthand how education can transform a family's future.

As a single mom, she relied on an ASPSF scholarship to help cover child care costs while earning her degree. Today, she's a marketing leader at JLL's Park Plaza , an ASPSF Board member, and someone who gives back so other single parents can achieve their dreams, too.

Her journey proves that a scholarship can be more than financial assistance. It can be the first chapter of a whole new story.

Thank you, Isabella Wisinger for writing such an inspiring profile in the June issue of Inviting Arkansas!

Meet Shae Hughes, a single mother who became a success story thanks to the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. She received a scholarship while completing her associate’s degree at Arkansas State University and earned a bachelor’s degree at UA Little Rock thanks to this funding and support....
