Remembering Judge Wayne Gruber – Funeral Information

The Pulaski County Bar Association mourns the passing of Judge Wayne Gruber who passed away Monday, August 31, 2026.

Judge Gruber was a longtime member and leader of our legal community, serving as President of the Pulaski County Bar Association in 1996–97. He went on to serve 24 years as a judge before retiring from the bench in 2024.

In 2025, the PCBA was honored to recognize him as our Judge of the Year — a fitting tribute to his many years of service to the bench, the Bar, and our community. Past President Megan Wells is pictured here presenting Judge Gruber with his award.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Judge Rita Gruber, and to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We are grateful for his service and the lasting impact he made on our legal community. He will be deeply missed.
