Troop 7061 had an incredible time at our very first Court of Honor!

It was a special night recognizing the hard work and dedication of our Scouts as they earned Scout rank, completion of merit badges, and continued building skills and confidence along the way. We were also proud to celebrate our Cub Scout from Pack 3211 for earning multiple adventures and making great progress on their Scouting journey.

Thank you to all the families, leaders, and supporters who made this evening so meaningful. This is just the beginning, and we are excited for everything ahead!

Tonight we will not be meeting at our regular location at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Instead, please join us at the Little Mountain Ruritan building at 6:30 PM as we celebrate our troop’s very first Court of Honor.

We invite families, friends, and anyone in the community to come out, bring a dish to share, and be part of something special. This potluck-style evening will recognize the hard work and achievements of our scouts and mark an exciting milestone for Troop 7061!

Come be a part of history in the making. We would love to have you there.

Troop 61 will be out at Healthy Kids Day this weekend at the Newberry YMCA, and we would love to see you there.

If you’ve ever wondered what Scouting is all about, this is a great chance to stop by, ask questions, and see some of the skills our Scouts are learning. From outdoor adventure and leadership to first aid and teamwork, Scouting is all about building confidence and preparing young people for real-world challenges.

We will have information on all of our Scouts: Troop 61, Troop 7061 - Little Mountain, SC, Cub Scout Pack 111 - Little Mountain, SC, and Pack 3211, so whether you have a younger child or a future Scout ready for the next step, we can help point you in the right direction.

Come by, say hello, and learn more about how to get involved. We are always excited to welcome new families into Scouting.

Troop 7061 just wrapped up our very first camping trip, and it was one for the books.

The scouts jumped right in and got hands-on with the fundamentals—learning how to set up camp, cook real meals in Dutch ovens, safely handle and sharpen knives and axes, and build practical rope skills like knot tying, whipping, and fusing. These aren’t just skills—they’re confidence builders, and it showed all weekend.

There was a lot of hard work, a lot of laughter, and the kind of moments that turn a group into a team. Friendships grew stronger around the fire, and every scout walked away a little more capable than when they arrived.

If you’ve been looking for something that builds character, resilience, and real-world skills, we’d love to have you join us. Troop 7061 meets every Monday at 6:30pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Mountain.

Come see what we’re all about.

Troop 7061 and Pack 3211 had a great meeting this week focused on the importance of the patrol method and why it is a pillar of Scouting America. Scouts learned how working in small, scout led groups builds teamwork, confidence, and real leadership skills. When scouts plan together, solve problems together, and support one another, they grow in ways that last far beyond a single meeting.

One of the greatest strengths of Scouting America is the leadership opportunities it provides. Every scout has the chance to serve in roles that carry real responsibility, from leading a patrol to organizing activities and helping younger scouts learn new skills. Leadership is not reserved for a select few. Each scout will have the opportunity to step up, practice responsibility, and develop the character and confidence that come from leading well.

We are proud of the growth we are already seeing in our scouts and excited for what is ahead. If you are interested in joining Troop 7061 or Pack 3211, send us a message to connect. No prior experience is necessary. We would love to welcome you to a future meeting!

Troop 7061 had a great meeting this week! The Scouts learned about flag etiquette, how to properly fold the flag, and the meaning behind the Scout symbol. It was hands on, meaningful, and a great reminder of the values that Scouting is built on.

These lessons are about more than ceremony. They teach respect, responsibility, leadership, and service. Understanding the Scout symbol reinforces doing your duty to God and country, helping others at all times, and living out the Scout Law in everyday life. These are skills and character traits that stay with our girls for life.

Troop 7061 is an all female Scouting America troop that meets every Monday at 6:30 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Mountain. We would love to welcome new members who are ready for friendship, adventure, and personal growth.

Cub Scout Pack 3211 also meets at the same time and place and is excited to welcome younger girls who want to get started in Scouting.

Everyone is welcome and no prior experience is needed. Come join us any Monday at 6:30 pm and see what Scouting is all about.

Last week was an exciting one for Troop 7061! ⚜️

Senior Patrol Leader Callie T. made a special trip to the Scout Shop to receive her first official BSA uniform, with help from her brother, SPL Wyatt T. of BSA Troop 61 - Little Mountain, SC. Standing together at the Scout Law memorial made the moment even more meaningful for both Scouts.

Over the weekend, SPL Callie T. also attended Blue Ridge Council’s Merit Badge University (Session 1) for the Citizenship of the World Merit Badge. She shared that the most interesting part was learning about international law and how nations work together to make the world a better place.

Merit Badge University Session 2 is coming up this weekend, and we’re excited to hear more about our Scouts’ experiences!

Troop 7061 meets tonight, January 19th, at 6:30 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Mountain. If it’s your first time attending, send us a message and our Scoutmaster will meet you outside to welcome you in. No prior Scouting experience required—we’d love to have you join us!

Another Eagle Project successfully completed by one of the older Scouts from our brother troop BSA Troop 61 - Little Mountain, SC! 🦅

Thomas is well on his way to earning the well-deserved honor of Eagle Scout, and we couldn’t be prouder of his hard work and dedication.

Our Scouts in Troop 7061 can look forward to designing their own community-focused Eagle projects—projects that not only make a real impact, but also showcase the leadership, responsibility, networking, and perseverance they’ve developed along the way.

We can’t wait to celebrate and cheer you on at your Eagle Court of Honor, Thomas! 👏🎉
