Thanks so much to Idalia Amaya, Jamel Johnson, Katrina Moore, Sally Ortega Putney, Powered by People, and the families of Comunidad Hilltown for our joint blockwalk/voter registration drive. It was hot outside, but multiple abuelas, tias, and other friends kept us hydrated and encouraged at their doors.

We still have a few turfs to go! If you want to walk with me and/or some of the community volunteers, sound off!

🧹💙 ¡Gracias por otra gran limpieza en Hilltown! 💙🧹
🧹💙 Thank you for another great Hilltown cleanup! 💙🧹

_____Yesterday, we had another community cleanup, and we want to sincerely thank all of our volunteers who once again gave their time to help keep Hilltown clean. 🙌

______We were also joined by Candace Valenzuela, candidate for Commissioner of our Precinct, along with her family. They didn’t just come to visit—they rolled up their sleeves and helped us pick up trash and clean our community. 🧤🗑️

_____We were also joined by Derek Avery and his fiancée, Janelle, who took the time to come meet Hilltown, see some of our needs firsthand, and listen to the challenges our community has faced over the years.

_____We had the opportunity to talk with them about the difficulties we have faced in getting help and answers from the County. We truly appreciate their willingness to listen, learn about our situation, and support us as we continue seeking answers. It is important to us that those who want to support or represent our community come, see, and hear what residents are experiencing firsthand. 🤝

_____And of course, a very special thank you to Mrs. Irene, who is always looking out for us and provides food after our cleanups. ❤️🍽️ Thank you for your generosity and for always supporting our volunteers!

_____Thank you to everyone who continues to do their part for Hilltown. Every person who helps, listens, and gets involved makes a difference. 💙🏡
