As a nurse, I've spent years caring for others and helping people navigate stress, illness, and life transitions.

One thing I've learned is that many of us are carrying more than we realize.

That's why I created Evening Reset.

This isn't just another wellness event. It's an opportunity to pause, breathe, move your body, quiet your mind, and reconnect with yourself in a supportive community setting.

I'm excited to partner with Melodies for the Soul for a restorative sound bath experience and Better Me Fitness & Performance to host us for the evening.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by last night's severe storms in Northwest Indiana.

While Gary experienced damage from high winds, neighboring Merrillville was hit directly by a tornado, impacting homes, businesses, and families throughout the community.

As someone who spent 34 years in Gary, I know how connected these communities are. Many of us have family, friends, coworkers, and memories throughout Merrillville and the surrounding areas.

Today, we are holding space for all those affected, praying for safety, recovery, and strength as the community begins to assess the damage and rebuild.

To everyone in Northwest Indiana: please stay safe, check on your neighbors, and continue supporting one another.

Watching the sweet potatoes our Legacy Leaders planted during Seed to Wellness™ continue to grow has been such a beautiful reminder that when you plant seeds with intention, nurture, and patience… growth happens.

These moments are about so much more than gardening. They’re about teaching wellness, responsibility, confidence, and showing our youth that growth takes time — but it’s always worth it.

On National Gardening Exercise Day, we had the opportunity to volunteer at St. Arbor Community Garden where seedlings from our Seed to Wellness program were donated through SanPhil Legacy Group. 🌱💜

Today we harvested potatoes, planted squash, and spent time reconnecting with the earth, movement, and community. Moments like this remind us that wellness doesn’t always happen inside a gym or clinic — sometimes it happens with your hands in the soil, fresh air in your lungs, and people coming together with purpose!

I’m grateful to see the seeds we planted continue growing into something that nourishes the community in more ways than one. 🌿

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. 💙

As a nurse, I’ve seen how often men carry stress, pressure, grief, responsibility, and emotional pain in silence.

So many men have been taught to “push through,” stay strong, and keep moving — even when they’re overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or hurting.

This month is a reminder that mental health matters for men too.

Rest matters.
Support matters.
Community matters.
Healing matters.
Checking in on the men around us matters.

At SanPhil Legacy Group, creating spaces for wellness, emotional regulation, movement, conversation, and restoration is part of the mission — because strong communities also require healthy men.
