Bark For Life of Lancaster Bark For Life, hosted by the American Cancer Society, is an event celebrating canines as caregivers.

With exciting dog games, contests, K9 demonstrations, and a variety of vendors, it offers something enjoyable for every dog lover. Bark for Life is a celebration of the role furry family members step into in their owner's journey with cancer. It is the companionship, care, concern from a watchful eye, wet nose, and face licks that have helped those impacted by cancer. The joy of a dog, bringing ev

en a quick smile, has a powerful and positive impact on owners. A dog's love is even shared through encouragement to get outside and walk, increasing physical activity and purpose for an owner affected by cancer. Dogs hold a special place in our lives, even if you have not been personally impacted by cancer. As we raise funds at the Bark for Life on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to support the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer, we honor our canine companions and the love we receive from them.

Dogs, wear your collar or harness, please!
Humans, wear whatever makes you happy.
Leashes are a must (no exceptions, sorry flexi-leash fans) and max out at 6 feet.
Respect personal space
Good vibes and wagging tails only!
Vaccines and spay/neuter? You bet your paws they're a must!

Today, we honor the pets who have left pawprints on our hearts - the ones who loved us unconditionally and left us with many cherished memories. If you’ve lost a pet, you probably think about them often, but this day gives you a chance to truly remember them and their impact on your life by allowing you the time to reflect.

National Pet Memorial Day also encourages us to cherish the pets we have while they’re still around. It reminds us that they won’t be here forever, so we should take the time to love them and enjoy life with them.
