The 2026 Spring The Lion’s Roar Newsletter is here! We certainly hope you find the information informative. Note that the 2026 Lisbon Alumni Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 in the Lion's Den (aka “the new gym”) at Lisbon Community Schools. If you're interested in reserving tickets for the 2026 Banquet, please send your request through our FB page or by email to [email protected]. We will be providing building tours again this year to highlight the District’s facilities. Tours will start at 4:00 pm from the lobby by the Lion's Den. We look forward to seeing you at this year's Banquet! Please watch our official LAA page for any updates regarding the Banquet. Also, we ask that you go "Like" and "Follow" our page, as well as share it with your FB friends and former classmates.

We continue our ongoing process of updating our Lisbon Alumni Association master contact list. Please get connected with us through FB and provide your email addresses so we can distribute the annual LAA Newsletter electronically for free. You can provide current, updated contact information for yourself, your former classmates, your siblings and your LHS alumni children! You can find a “Contact Form” on our FB page to make it quick and easy to provide us with your information. You can also access the form through the link below. While we really appreciate receiving your email addresses, we also enjoy receiving current mailing addresses to see where everyone has landed in their life!

Finally note that we are looking for alumni to step up to be on the ballot for an officer position. At the 2026 Banquet we will be voting on individuals for the offices of Vice-President and Treasurer. If you are interested in being on the ballot, please contact current LAA Vice-President Jeff Bohr by phone or text at (319) 350-5849. Your current LAA Officers and Committee Members thank you!!

Announcing the Lisbon Alumni Hall of
Fame 2023 inductees.
Congratulations to the following:

LHS Service Award - Ga***rd Owens (1941), Nola Owens (1943), and Tait Stamp (1994).

LHS Achievement Award - Andreas Brothers - DeWayne (1934), and Lowell (1939).

LHS Community Impact Award - Howard Ciha (1944), and Steve Miller (1983).

LHS Athletes Award - Jamie Porter Lein (1994), Royce Alger (1983), and Ben Knake (2012).

The induction and presentation of awards
will take place at the Homecoming football game on September 29, 2023. Hope to see everyone there.

The Lisbon Alumni Association will be announcing this year’s Hall of Fame inductees for 2023 on Friday August 18th at the Sauerkraut main stage at 6:00 pm. The induction ceremony will be held at the Homecoming football game.
