Smoky Valley Historical Association - Kansas Preserving and education of the history of the Smoky Hill River Valley in Central Kansas January, March, May, July, September, and November.

Smoky Valley Historical Association reformed November 1963 from the original 1919 Lindsborg Historical Society. We hold free public programs or presentations featuring local history bi-monthly. They start at 7:30 pm on the second Tuesday of those months. Our board meetings and these public programs are located at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Fellowship Hall, or 402 North First St.

147 years ago today, Lindsborg implemented the first three ordinances. Despite being approved August 18th, laws or ordinances didn't go into effect until published in the city newspaper, which first happened on the 23rd.
