Good morning!
Just a few words about our Mexican Dinner and our future.
I spoke to one of our mentors yesterday. A few things he brought up was -
1. We need 6-8 weeks to plan an
event.
2. We’re taking on to much, to fast.
Our group still needs to grow.
3. The low turnout happens to
Everyone that first starts up.
4. We need team leaders.
My take is this. We made the mistake of putting RSVP on the flyer. It caused a lot of confusion. The weather was awful. Poured rain.
I am interviewing a college student early next week for a position with us. Her role will include help with growing our social media platforms and event coordinator.
Also, I would like to have three team leaders. Roles tbd. Three are in my mind. Two from Byron and one from Linden.
We want to hear from you. What would you like for us to do as a group? Kayak, bowling, rollerskating? Those are just a few ideas. Kayaking is coming soon.
All of this should lead us in the right direction. Our goal is to be a nonprofit organization.
I’m taking the week off to focus on myself and my family. I’ll hop on here to see if there’s any feedback.
The old saying “everything happens for a reason” certainly applies here. What happened is leading us in a new direction.
