The highlight of this month’s meeting was our visit to Hope on 5th. It was so good to see firsthand the good work that is being done there.
Providing shelter and many services, Hope on 5th is a transitional housing facility for those in need including, but not limited to, central Illinois veterans.
Thank you Hope on 5th for the tour and for all you do for our community.

Thank you to members of the Abraham Lincoln Chapter NSDAR for visiting Hope on 5th to learn more about the mission of our organization and see what's happening! It's great to have the community take an interest in the work being done!

It was truly a pleasure and an honor to help raise funds for Operation Honor Guard! In partnership with Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Homes, this fundraiser will help provide such items as uniforms, coats, and gloves to the Honor Guard. The Honor Guard veterans volunteer their time to perform military rites at the funerals of military veterans. Thank you so much to all who donated.

At our April meeting, we were honored to be joined by Lynda Kerstein, District V Director. Lynda gave an interesting presentation about some very impressive Revolutionary war patriots. Those mentioned included not only men, but also women and native Americans. Thank you so much for sharing your photos and information with us, Lynda!
