Nebraska Christian Home Educators Association The NCHEA was founded in 1986 under the name Nebraska Home Educators Association. The NCHEA is a non-profit 501(c)(4) corporation.

The Nebraska Christian Home Educators Association (NCHEA) is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization founded to encourage and support Christian families in the education of their children at home in accordance with Biblical principles. In 1993, the name was changed to Nebraska Christian Home Educators Association (NCHEA) to more effectively identify the fundamental principles on which the lead

ership of the NCHEA functions and its mission to serve Nebraska Christian homeschooling families. The NCHEA leadership is comprised of Christian homeschool families - all volunteers - who support the NCHEA's Statement of Faith and Statement of Position. The Bible serves as the foundation on which the leadership functions.

The most common questions I receive as a homeschool mom are these:
1. “How will they socialize?”
2. “So like…do you use curriculum?”

The socialization is honestly a zero concern. Our kids are so active in our community and have a vibrant life full of friends, teammates and multi-age communities. We’re living in 2026, connection opportunities are through the roof!

Regarding curriculum, once again this is just a sliver of our homeschool! Yes we use curriculum, but there are so many other exciting things we’re doing that I believe lead to more hands on learning and retention. They are way more cool to talk about too. 😉

Homeschooling is multifaceted, colorful and the beauty is it looks different for every family. We live in an amazing time to take on an alternative form of education. The resources are rampant.

*Anyone who is not following what most of society is doing with education is going be seen as a little weird.

LB937 was advanced to Final Reading.

What a sad day for Parental Rights. Nebraska legislators dont care about Property Taxes and now they've made it clear they don't care about protecting Nebraskans from activists within the Education system that target parents for exercising their rights.

LB937 is a terrible bill.

The Senators aren't going to fix it, so it needs to die! Continue to email the senators with strong opposition to LB937.
