✈️ 4th Annual Girls in Aviation Day ✈️

The 1895 Project is proud to support our community partner Lincoln Airport for this incredible opportunity! Nearly 200 girls ages 8–18 are invited to take flight into the world of aviation careers at this FREE event, introducing young women to the wide range of opportunities across commercial, general, and military aviation.

Attendees will enjoy hands-on activities, get up close with aircraft and equipment, and meet professionals from nearly 20 participating organizations. Plus, snacks from Freddy's Frozen Custard, Chick-fil-A, Insomnia Cookies, and more!

Featured guest speaker Amanda Kaser-Malousek brings 20 years of trauma nursing expertise to the event. A Certified Flight Registered Nurse with StarCare in Crete, NE, Amanda spent 16 years in Bryan Medical Center's Neuro Trauma ICU and has over 7 years of air medical transport experience. As StarCare's Base Outreach Coordinator, she regularly leads vital training for regional EMS teams, hospitals, and schools.

I have had the honor of being part of three Proclamations this year, and each one represents a different part of the work I am blessed to do in our community.

The 1895 Project Spring Cotillion Day 2026
A celebration of our young people, their accomplishments, leadership, culture, and potential. It reminds me why investing in our youth and creating opportunities for them to shine matters so much.

Marvilee All School Graduation Party Day
A celebration of every graduate and a reminder that our young people deserve to be celebrated, encouraged, and surrounded by a village that believes in their future. This is exactly why Marvilee continues to pour into our youth.

Overdose and Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Week in collaboration with CenterPointe, Wellbeing Initiative, Inc., Stop Overdose Nebraska. This one is deeply personal. Losing my son Marvin changed my life forever. His life, his story, and his legacy continue to fuel my commitment to education, harm reduction, overdose prevention, recovery, and breaking the stigma that keeps families suffering in silence.

Three Proclamations. Three meaningful moments. One purpose.

To uplift our youth. Support our families. Save lives. Build stronger communities. And create brighter futures.

This work is personal. This work is purpose. And I am grateful to keep serving. ❤️
