Have you ever walked into a room full of people... and still felt invisible?

Sometimes the deepest loneliness isn't about being alone. It's about believing you're unseen, overlooked, or that you don't truly belong.

Those feelings are real.

But they don't get the final word.

One of the most encouraging truths in Scripture is that Hagar, in one of the loneliest moments of her life, encountered "the God who sees me."

If you've been feeling forgotten or wondering if anyone notices your struggle, I hope this short reminder encourages you today.

Have you ever noticed how loneliness changes the way you think?

A friend doesn't call back.

Someone overlooks you.

A relationship changes.

And before long, loneliness starts filling in the blanks.

Nobody sees me.

Nobody cares.

I don't belong.

The problem is that loneliness doesn't just create emotional pain.

It often starts telling stories about who we are.

Stories that feel true because we've repeated them so many times.

In this week's episode of the Day One of Sobriety Podcast, we're talking about the lies loneliness whispers, why those stories feel so convincing, and how God's truth helps us separate what happened from what loneliness is trying to make it mean.

You are not the story loneliness tells.

Have you ever felt overlooked, forgotten, or invisible?

Loneliness has a way of filling in the blanks. What begins as a painful experience can slowly become a story about who we are, what we're worth, and whether we belong.

The truth is, just because loneliness tells a story doesn't mean it's telling the truth.

In Episode 55 of the Day One of Sobriety Podcast, I share how loneliness can shape our thinking, why those stories feel so convincing, and how God's truth helps us renew our minds and reclaim our identity.

Many of us think we're protecting ourselves from being hurt again.

But what if the walls we've built are also keeping us from the connection, healing, and freedom we're longing for?

This week, take a moment to ask yourself:

What am I protecting?

Awareness isn't condemnation.
It's often the first step toward healing.

🎙 This question comes from Episode 54 of the Day One of Sobriety podcast:
The Walls We Build: How Isolation Becomes a Comfort Zone

Have you ever noticed how loneliness changes the way you think?

A missed phone call starts to feel personal.

A friendship changes and you begin questioning your worth.

Someone overlooks you, and suddenly you're wondering if you even belong.

Loneliness doesn't just create emotional pain.

If we're not careful, it starts telling stories about who we are.

And those stories can quietly shape our identity.

In this week's episode of the Day One of Sobriety podcast, we're talking about the lies loneliness whispers, why those lies feel so convincing, and how God's truth helps us separate what happened from what loneliness is trying to make it mean.

💥 NEW EPISODE DROP 💥

Loneliness is one of the most common struggles people experience, yet many people never stop to ask what it's trying to tell them.

God designed us for connection.

Science now confirms that prolonged disconnection affects our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even how we see ourselves.

What if loneliness isn't simply something to escape?

What if it's a signal inviting us to pay attention?

📖 Did you know the Day One of Sobriety Podcast also has a blog?

Not everyone learns best by listening. Some people prefer to slow down, read, reflect, and revisit important truths at their own pace.

That's exactly why we created the Day One of Sobriety Blog.

Each article takes the same biblical, neuroscience-informed principles we discuss on the podcast and presents them in a format you can read, highlight, journal through, and return to whenever you need encouragement.

Whether you're working through anxiety, toxic thought patterns, emotional healing, identity struggles, loneliness, or mind renewal, the blog is another resource to help you renew your mind and walk in freedom.

NEW EPISODE DROP 💥

Sometimes the most discouraging part of healing is not the struggle itself.

It’s feeling like you should be “further along” by now.

You love God.
You want peace.
You genuinely want to change.

But old reactions still surface.
Old fears still show up.
Old emotional wiring still gets triggered.

And if we’re not careful, we begin interpreting slow growth as failed growth.

But this week’s episode reminds us of something important:

Transformation is not built through one emotional moment.

It’s built through repeated renewal.

Your brain strengthens what you repeatedly practice.

And spiritually, the Holy Spirit patiently walks with us through that same process of renewal over time.

UNBOXING DAY!!! 📦✨

Or maybe I should say…

unboxing…
and unboxing…
and UNBOXING. 😂

Yesterday 150 author copies of Trapped in Your Thoughts arrived at my door for upcoming speaking events… and I honestly don’t know if I have words for what this moment feels like.

For years, I lived trapped inside toxic thinking, shame, fear, addiction, anxiety, and hopelessness. I truly believed I would never change.

But God.

What started as my own healing journey became a mission.

Page by page, this book was written to help people understand:
🧠 why they think the way they do
🤍 how old patterns get wired into the brain
🙏 and how Scripture + neuroscience together create a pathway toward real transformation

This isn’t just a book about “thinking positive.”

It’s a breakthrough framework designed to help people renew their minds, break toxic cycles, heal emotionally, and walk in the identity God already gave them.

And now… it’s REAL.
In my hands.
On my couch.
Under about 150 Amazon mailers apparently. 😂

I keep looking at these packages thinking:
“God, You really brought this full circle.”

If you’ve ever felt stuck in destructive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, fear, rejection, shame, loneliness, or hopelessness… I wrote this for YOU.

Freedom is possible.
Healing is possible.
Mind renewal is possible.

And I cannot WAIT to place this message into people’s hands at upcoming events. 🤍

Knowledge fills you up…
but application transforms you.

This book will show you how!
