December 19th, we’re bringing the boots, the beats, and the legacy back home. ❤️‍🔥

We invite you’ll to celebrate the life, spirit, and impact of a man who loved hard, rode proud, and lived every moment full throttle. Featuring one of his favorite bands, in one of the places that holds so many memories for his family and community - the same grounds where trail rides rolled in, laughter was natural, and rodeo nights turned into stories we still tell today.

And at the center of it all is Ryvi Rose Wyckoff — She is the heartbeat behind this foundation and the reason we continue to push through grief with purpose. Every step we take with this foundation, every event we hold, every banner raised and song played, is rooted in making sure Ryvi grows up surrounded by the proof that her daddy mattered here.

This isn’t just an event. This is legacy work. So dust off your boots, grab your people, and come celebrate Foots the way he would’ve wanted - with music, memories, laughter, and love.

Good afternoon rodeo family,

As we prepare for tomorrow, Good Friday, we wanted to share an important update with you all.

Due to recent changes in law, we will no longer be doing a balloon release. In place of that, we will be honoring Rob with a dove release — a beautiful and meaningful tribute in his memory.

If you still choose to bring balloons, they are absolutely welcome, but will be used for decoration only and will not be released.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we come together to honor Rob in a way that is both respectful and memorable. 🤍

We look forward to seeing each and every one of you tomorrow.

One Week Away 🤍🎈

With heavy hearts and deep love, we invite you to join us as we come together to honor and remember Robert Wyckoff Jr. on Good Friday—his favorite day, a day that has always meant so much to our family.

This year, we’re opening this tradition to the public. Not just as an event, but as a moment… a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate a life that continues to impact so many.

We will gather for a memorial balloon release, followed by a crawfish boil & fish fry, surrounded by family, friends, and everyone who has supported us through this journey.

Rob wasn’t just a part of the rodeo world—he was a light, a leader, and someone people leaned on. This day is about keeping that light alive.

During International Women’s Month, we celebrate the women who lead, inspire, and preserve our history for future generations.

Valeria Howard-Cunningham, CEO/Producer of the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo, reminds us of the importance of honoring legacy while building new opportunities:

“Entering our 42nd year, we honor the legacy of Black cowboys and cowgirls by celebrating their excellence today and building new platforms for tomorrow.”

Today we celebrate women like Valeria who continue to elevate Western heritage, open doors for the next generation, and ensure that the stories of Black cowboys and cowgirls are told and remembered.
