Friends of RRF!

Meet sweet Quincy. This beautiful 8 year old standard poodle took a tumble down a flight of stairs and tore a ligament in her back left knee.

We are hopeful that with rest and pain meds, Quincy won’t need surgery.

RRF has covered Quincy’s initial imaging and pain meds already. We would appreciate any donations towards that. As always, we love to replace the funds as we spend them so that we can automatically say yes the next time someone needs our help.

I had hoped I wasn’t being too optimistic on the $7,500 number….only $2,500 more than last year. I may have been wrong. 😢

I’m not going to sugar coat it. This is not good.

I can’t continue The Rufus Relief Fund without help. The last 3 dogs that we covered vet bills for brought in ZERO donations. I was hoping to replenish some funds through this giving event. At this rate though….

I’m so thankful to the generous folks who have donated this far! And we have a LONG WAY TO GO before 6:00 pm tonight to reach our goal.

📣📣📣TODAY IS THE DAY!📣📣📣

Amplify Austin  starts today and ends tomorrow at 6pm. This is one of the biggest fundraisers every year for many nonprofits, including the Rufus Relief Fund.

Last year, the $5,000 that we got in donations allowed us to help several pets throughout the rest of the year. We were able to immediately say YES and step in and help instead of having to get donations. As you know, in an emergency situation with a pet, time as of the essence!

🙌🏻THIS YEAR OUR GOAL IS $7,500. 🙌🏻

Every dollar helps. We have donation levels as low as $5.00. We would also love if anyone works with a corporation who participates in Amplify Austin, so please let them know about us!

We are also entered into a matching program, so depending upon the amount of donations that we can get these next two days, we have the ability to bring in even more money through that. 🙏

Please share. Please donate. Please make it so I can say YES when someone’s beloved pet is in need.

Amplify Austin starts TOMORROW!

March 4-5

PLEASE consider donation to the Rufus Relief Fund. We have a BIG GOAL this year of $7,500. Last year, our goal was $5,000 and we did it! Can we do more this year?

I woke up this morning and as I went about my day…I had this tugging feeling that I needed to see if there was anyone we needed help. It was this little voice in my heart…maybe it was Rufus?

So I texted my favorite vet Dr. Curl. And lo and behold….this cutie Scrappy had a splenectomy yesterday and today needed a blood transfusion….and his dad was short on funds. So we stepped in!

And then I get these pics….my Rufus had this EXACT SAME SHIRT people. So yeah…Rufus was the voice in my heart that said I needed to call. I heard yah, buddy.

Hello friends! This is adorable Muppet, I mean pup, is named Roux! He was rescued by some local rescuers and after attempts to find an owner, it appeared he was dumped, unfortunately. However, he now has a new lease on life with his new mama! We committed several weeks ago to helping Roux with his vetting for his perfect home and that’s what we’re doing. He saw the vet today to get updated on his rabies shot and also to schedule for his neuter. RRF will be covering the cost of these.
