Today is World Sight Day. 👁️

It’s a day to bring attention to vision, eye health, and access to eye care.

Vision has been a major area of service for Lions for many years, from vision screenings and eyeglass recycling to supporting people who are blind or have low vision.

Most people know Lions for our work with vision, but that’s only one part of what we do.

Lions also support hunger relief, youth programs, environmental projects, diabetes awareness, disaster relief, childhood cancer initiatives, and other community needs.

There’s a lot behind the words “We Serve.” 💙💛

October is Blindness Awareness Month. 🦯💙

It’s a good time to share information about blindness, low vision, accessibility, and the tools and supports that help people access their communities independently.

Vision has long been an important area of service for Lions, so throughout October we’ll be sharing a few facts and resources related to blindness and accessibility.

A few of our Lexington Lions Branch Club members had the chance to spend the evening in Georgetown this weekend supporting our fellow Lions! 🦁

We always enjoy opportunities to connect with other clubs, lend a hand, and be part of events that bring people together.

Can you see it? The Kentucky State Fair is coming! And we still need A LOT of HELP! We are looking for volunteers (ages 14 - 100+) to help us provide FREE vision screenings in our booth in the Health Horizons area of the South Wing B Building. Our volunteers receive a FREE fair ticket which includes parking so please sign up soon so we can get your ticket to you in time. Use the link below to sign up! You do not have to be a Lions Club member or in the medical field. We provide training on-site and this is great for most ages and abilities.
