This September, let's come together as a community to raise awareness, share resources, and support one another.

Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 5:30 PM

Virginia Horse Center – Appomattox Mezzanine- 487 Maury River Road, Lexington, VA 24450

We're honored to welcome guest speaker Dr. Wayne Handley, PhD, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 30 years of experience in public safety, military service, emergency medical operations, and mental health. A passionate advocate for su***de prevention, Dr. Handley empowers individuals and communities through resilience, hope, and the belief that every life is worth fighting for.

What to expect:

✔️Organizational breakout sessions following the speaker

School is out but summer meals are in!

Buena Vista City Public Schools will be providing free meals to all children in the community, ages 1 – 18, during the summer. Children do not have to attend any Buena Vista City School to be eligible for meals.

June 1st – June 25th (Mondays – Thursdays) a hot breakfast and lunch will be offered daily at Enderly Heights Elementary School. Children must remain onsite while consuming their meal.

Meals for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays may be picked up on Thursdays.

Breakfast 8:30 – 9:00 am
Lunch 12:00 – 12:30 pm

June 29th – July 27th (Mondays only) 7-day meal kits may be picked up at Enderly Heights Elementary School from 11:30 – 12:30.

"The Easter Awakening Brunch was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community truly shows up for one another," said Tammy Reid, Unity4Kids executive director.
