Momentum is building at QNEST!
LGBTQIA+ teens need places where they can simply be themselves, no explanations, no performance, no fear. That’s what our peer support groups are becoming.

We’re growing. We’re now hosting regularly at BAGLY (next meeting: May 7) and expanding to new partners across Boston. On April 24, we’ll host a group with Boston GLASS, and on May 1, another at Children’s Services of Roxbury.

We’re also launching something we’re especially excited about: Coping Through Books, a new series with Boston Public Library Teen Central starting April 29. These are facilitated conversations inspired by LGBTQIA+ stories and themes, because sometimes the right book opens a door that nothing else can. Details are on our website.

As Pride Month approaches, we’ll also be part of upcoming community events - more to come soon.

These groups are how we show up now: building real connection and support while we raise funds to open our first home.

If this resonates, share QNEST with someone who should know about it. And if you’re able to give, every contribution - of any size - moves us closer to opening our doors.

Thank you for being part of this.

Coro Allegro, Boston’s LGBTQ+ and allied classical chorus led by David Hodgkins, presents And Still They Vanish, a powerful meditation on memory, identity, and injustice.

The program features a single work performed without intermission: Annelies by James Whitbourn, a moving oratorio based on The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank. Through Anne’s words, audiences bear witness to both unimaginable cruelty and enduring hope.

Soprano Sonja DuToit Tengblad takes on the role of Anne in this urgent and resonant performance, transforming testimony into an act of moral remembrance and resistance.

We’re grateful to share that QNEST received a grant from the Boston Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement (MOLA).
This funding allows us to offer our peer support group at BAGLY's location in Boston.
The group is centered on:
• Exploring identity and self-expression
• Building healthy coping strategies
• Connecting with peers in a supportive space
• Celebrating q***r joy
For many LGBTQIA+ youth, safe spaces aren’t guaranteed. This grant helps ensure that access to community, affirmation, and belonging is.

Love and acceptance are at the heart of everything we do at QNEST. Our dream? Opening homes where LGBTQ+ youth can be themselves without fear. We're not there yet, but we're building toward it, one connection, one support group, one safe space at a time. Happy Valentine's Day! 💙✨

First Event Boston
This past week and weekend marked QNEST’s first time participating in First Event Boston hosted by Trans Community of New England (TCNE), and it was powerful.
We had a table, met incredible people, and had honest conversations with individuals and organizations navigating today’s increasingly hostile anti-trans climate. What stood out most was the authenticity, people showing up, speaking openly, and refusing to disappear.
At the same time, there was a noticeable absence. Some organizations shared that their reliance on federal grants has forced them to scale back or step away from affirming care altogether. That reality underscores why independent, community-driven support matters now more than ever.
QNEST exists to fill gaps, not just in housing for LGBTQIA+ youth, but in courage, consistency, and commitment to support the q***r community. This First Event reinforced that the work ahead is urgent, necessary, and deeply supported at the grassroots level.
