Somewhere between tying knots, burning a marshmallow beyond recognition, hiking farther than they thought they could, and figuring out how to set up a tent without an adult taking over… something pretty cool happens.

They grow up a little.

Scouting isn’t just about camping.

It’s learning how to lead when nobody hands you a script.
How to help when nobody asks.
How to problem-solve when Plan A goes completely sideways.
And how to keep going when something is harder than expected.

The badges are pretty cool.

But the confidence underneath them?

Join us for Troop 382’s Court of Honor! ⚜️

Court of Honor is a special time for our troop to recognize the hard work our Scouts have put in throughout the year. We’ll be celebrating rank advancements, merit badges, accomplishments, and the progress they’ve made along the way.

It’s a chance for families, friends, and our troop community to come together and recognize everything these Scouts have worked toward.

We’ll have pizza, desserts, and plenty of time to celebrate together.

YES. ANOTHER POPCORN REMINDER.

At this point, you probably knew it was coming. 😂

But listen… the quicker y’all buy this popcorn, the quicker our Scouts can STOP selling it. So really, you’re helping everyone here. 🤣👏

Our Scouts are working hard to hit their fundraising goals, and every purchase gets them a little closer to some pretty awesome adventures this year!

🍿 IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN, FOLKS! 🍿

Yep, you read that right — popcorn season is here, which means the next few weeks you're gonna see us out here shamelessly asking you to buy some popcorn. No shame in our game. 😂

Today's the day! If you're out and about near Lowe's in Hamburg, swing by and say hi to Max and Alex — they'll be out there hustling from 10:00am to 4:00pm with bags of popcorn ready to go.

These two have been putting in the work, so if you're headed that way, stop and grab a bag (or three), snap a pic, and give 'em a well-earned "great job!" A little support goes a long way, and it means the world to these Scouts.

Thanks for putting up with us these next few weeks — we promise it's for a good cause! 🎉

🇺🇸 We Remember. September 11, 2001.

Today, Troop 382 pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage. We remember the families who lost loved ones, the survivors, and everyone whose lives were forever changed that day.

May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, compassion, and unity that followed.

Remember. Honor. Serve. 🇺🇸

🥾 Troop 382's Backpacking Trip to Moonbow: A Weather Rollercoaster We Didn't Sign Up For (But Wouldn't Trade!)

Sharing some good times (and some soggy socks) from our backpacking trip to Moonbow last weekend! 🎒

Mother Nature really said "let's keep 'em guessing" this trip:
☀️ Saturday morning: blazing hot, sweating through the first few miles
💨 Saturday afternoon: winds picking up just enough to make everyone's hat straps earn their keep
🌧️ Saturday night: full-on rain, tents doing their best impression of drums
🥵 Sunday: back to hot and humid like the storm never happened

Basically we experienced all four seasons in about 30 hours on the trail. Ten out of ten meteorological chaos, would recommend for the story alone.

But you know what? Our Scouts didn't miss a beat. Packs got shouldered, miles got logged, tents got pitched (and re-staked more than once 👀), and there was plenty of mud-slogging determination to go around.

This is what Scouting is really about — showing up, adapting, laughing when the wind steals your hat, and pushing through the miles no matter what the sky decides to throw at you.

Proud of our Scouts for rolling with it and knocking out a tough trip. Here's to the next adventure — fingers crossed for just ONE weather pattern next time! 😂

Remember being a kid and wanting to build a fire, sleep under the stars, and prove you could survive without wifi?

Troop 382 is where that kid still gets to exist.

We're looking for boys ages 11-17 who are curious, a little adventurous, and ready to try things they've never done before — camping, hiking, leadership, first aid, archery, and yeah, the occasional character-building moment when it's raining and the tent won't cooperate.

No experience needed. No perfect kid needed. Just show up.

Scouting isn't about being the best at anything. It's about becoming someone who can figure things out, help others, and stand a little taller because of it.

If your son's been sitting inside on a screen more than you'd like, consider this his invitation outside.

🍿 IT'S POPCORN SEASON, Y'ALL! 🍿

That's right, Troop 382 — the crunchiest, butteriest time of year is BACK! 🎉

Our Scouts are strapping on their salesman shoes (some literally, some are wearing sandals, we don't judge) and hitting the streets for another epic popcorn selling season!

Here's how YOU can help:
✅ Buy some popcorn (your taste buds will thank you)
✅ Tell your friends, your neighbors, your mailman, your dog's vet — literally anyone with a mouth
✅ Stop by and see us when we're out selling
✅ Pretend to be surprised every year when it's "that time again" 😂

Every bag you buy helps send our Scouts to camp, on adventures, and toward badges galore — plus it fuels their questionable business negotiation skills for years to come.

So when you see our Scouts out there hustling, show 'em some love. Popcorn doesn't sell itself... unless it's already popped, then it kind of sells itself. But you know what we mean. 😉
