Yard signs are finally here! You can pick one up at 50 Industrial Drive in Lexington at the OEA office. If there are any in the yard go ahead and take one. If not, come on in between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and ask for one. We will try to keep the yard stocked with some so it is easy for you to get one. Thank you for your support!

Look who sponsored booths or events at the Ohio School Board meeting....Anyone surprised by this??

I am sad to report that after 4 1/2 hours of mediation, including face to face bargaining and counter proposals being exchanged, we still have no tentative agreement. We have set 2 additional dates, November 18 and 20.
Watch for further updates and information about rallies and other activities.
Don't stop supporting these dedicated, hard working deserving teachers.

I thought it would be a good idea to clarify a comment in the recent article about the mediation on Wednesday, October 15th. This was the first face to face bargaining since impasse was declared. Prior to impasse, both teams had met and talked 3 times. I felt the comment by the Superintendent was a bit unclear, and wanted to make sure the situation was addressed.

A special thank you to the community members and to the other teacher unions who came out to show their support tonight before bargaining. Those teacher unions who came out with a show of support were: Pioneer, Shelby, Norwalk, Mount Vernon, Ontario, Ashland City, Big Walnut, Mansfield, Galion, and Madison Local. LTA appreciates your support! It really meant a lot that all of you came out and stood tall with us! Together We Can!!!

Reynoldsburg teachers have ratified the tentative agreement.
Now it's LTA's turn to stand united against the ongoing attacks on public education and its professionals.
