South Carolina Toastmasters D58 PRM Message.....
As we reach the close of the 2025–2026 Toastmasters year, we also mark the end of an important chapter in our history—the final year of District 58 as we prepare to merge with District 14 and embark on an exciting new journey as District 213.
This moment provides an opportunity not only to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year, but also to reflect on the incredible legacy District 58 has built over 69 years of developing communicators, leaders, and communities across South Carolina.
Serving as your Public Relations Manager for the past three years has been both an honor and a privilege. Together, we have worked to strengthen our district's visibility, share our members' stories, and showcase the transformational impact of Toastmasters throughout our communities.
This year, the Public Relations Team played a vital role in supporting District 58's mission by:
Amplifying Our Voices
Through email communications, social media campaigns, and digital storytelling, we highlighted the diversity, achievements, and successes of clubs across South Carolina, helping attract guests, support member retention, and encourage club growth.
Increasing Visibility
We strengthened our online presence through consistent branding, updated digital platforms, and targeted messaging that positioned District 58 as a premier resource for communication and leadership development.
Supporting District Initiatives
Our team partnered with district leaders to promote membership drives, speech contests, Toastmasters Leadership Institutes, conferences, and special events. Through graphics, messaging, and promotional campaigns, we helped increase awareness, participation, and engagement throughout the district.
While these accomplishments are worth celebrating, they would not have been possible without the dedication of an exceptional Public Relations Team. I'd like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to:
Louise Maitland, DTM – District Graphic Designer
For her creativity, professionalism, and ability to transform ideas into compelling visual designs that elevated our district's image and communications.
Cathy Stark, DTM – Social Media Strategist
For her commitment to keeping our members informed, connected, and engaged through thoughtful and consistent social media outreach.
Brooke Morris – Media Contact Coordinator
For helping expand our reach and supporting efforts to increase public awareness, especially during our District 58's 2026 Annual Conference.
Lynn – Webmaster
For maintaining and enhancing our district website, and ensuring members and guests had access to timely, accurate, and valuable information.
To each of these remarkable leaders, thank you for sharing your talents, expertise, and countless volunteer hours in service to District 58. Your work has helped tell our story, celebrate our members, and strengthen our district's brand and reputation.
Thank you to every member, club officer, district leader, and volunteer who contributed to our success over the years. You have helped build a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations of Toastmasters.
Here's to the legacy of District 58, the promise of District 213, and the continued growth of every member we serve.
With gratitude,
Laura Taste-Sutton, DTM
