What an incredible afternoon celebrating the music and story of Loretta Lynn! 🎶 Thank you to Kentucky Humanities and Lisa Woods for bringing this unforgettable performance to us. The Lexington Senior Centers are vibrant, lively places filled with opportunities to learn and connect, and the Friends are proud to celebrate experiences like these that bring our community together.

Our Board of Directors, including several new members, recently toured the Bell House, Charles Young Center and the Eldercrafters Program to learn more about the satellite locations, partnerships and people that make these centers so special. As we welcome new board members, we're excited to continue supporting opportunities that help Lexington's older adults live active, connected lives! 💙

Join us in welcoming Sherry Holmes as the new board president for Friends of Lexington Senior Centers! 👏

Sherry is a retired nurse leader who served as Director of Children’s Services and later Maternal Services at UK Hospital. She also worked as Assistant Dean for Academic Operations at the UK College of Nursing. Sherry has published extensively, served on numerous community boards, and earned multiple professional awards. She remains active in health-related volunteer work.

Sherry has served on the Friends' board for several years now, but we are excited for the energy and expertise she will bring to the organization in this new role.
