October 4th always holds a special place in my heart. Almost 10 years ago I found this sweet boy under a car. I took him in and we found out he had Feline Leukemia. Pumpkin was truly the best orange cat we could have ever hoped for. Now he is forever immortalized as the mascot for Pumpkin’s Patch. While we are a super small rescue, we hope to grow into something bigger. We miss you Pumpkin. here is my favorite picture of our Orange boy who we miss so much. 🧡🐱

Happy Spooky Season from our black (and a little bit orange) kittens! Elaine and Stella are both looking for a loving home. Stella is ready to go to a new home but Elaine requires some additional testing to determine if she truly is Feline Leukemia positive. Last week we got Elaine spayed, and she tested positive for Feline Leukemia. We do help cats with Feline Leukemia but we need to do some more testing to determine if she truly has the virus, or just the antibodies possibly from her mom. Can you help us get a quantitive PCR test to help determine if she does have Feline Leukemia and how progressive the disease is if she is positive. You can help via PayPal, or Venmo. ADOPTABLE CAT SPOTLIGHT: STELLA! 🖤🧡 Stella is ready to find her forever home! We think Stella would do best with a kitten or cat to have as a friend. Stella is a talkative and playful tortie who loves any toy that moves. Stella is pictured with Elaine who has become her friend while being here, but Elaine is not quite ready to be adopted yet. We think Stella would do best in a family home with a kitten or cat. Stella has never shown any aggressive behaviors and we think she would do okay with kids. We are unsure about dogs. Happy from Elaine! When Elaine first came to us, she was so young that her fur looked black but sometimes chocolate brown in the light, but now that she is growing up, she appears to be a little black cat. 🐈‍⬛🖤 Elaine is not yet available to adopt yet. But one of our kittens is, stay tuned for that!

Stella (left) and Elaine (right) have developed such a playful relationship. Stella will be ready for a new home starting next week but Elaine still needs to be spayed and healed up which may take a while due to the SNIP clinics booked schedule. While, Stella and Elaine are friends and we do think they would do best with another kitten. The two do not display behaviors of bonded cats and will be able to go to a new home together or separately. Please keep an eye out for a post soon about Stella being adoptable!

Seeing double? That’s because we have 2 kittens in our care. You’ve been introduced to Stella (left) but our newest intake Elaine (right) just got here last night. Elaine is younger than Stella but we hope after some vet care and correct introductions that Stella and Elaine can be friends. Elaine was found in a ditch here in Louisville which apparently is a popular dumping ground for animals. Thank goodness for the Good Samaritan that took Elaine in. We have Stella’s spay surgery set for the end of July. Now we need your help to get Elaine some vet care. She has some discharge coming from her eyes and we will need to get her some Kitten Milk Replacement. NEW INTAKE: Stella! We weren’t currently taking in any intakes at the moment but when your husband is known as “the guy who rescues cats” at work, you’re bound to help a cat in need. Stella came to us after being stuck in a car for a week! The lady who took in Stella wanted to keep her but her residential pets weren’t fond of that idea. She wanted what was best for Stella. Stella is NOT ready for adoption, and with not having been taking any cats in, we are in need of funds to get Stella her kitten shots and eventually fixed so that she can be ready for adoption.
