POLICE CHIEF CHARGED WITH DUI: Lancaster Police Chief Ryan Hughes has been placed on administrative leave after being charged with DUI and first-degree criminal mischief following a single-vehicle crash in Somerset on July 17.

Police say Hughes admitted to drinking before driving, his vehicle caught fire after the crash, and it allegedly caused more than $500 in damage to a state right-of-way fence. He is scheduled to appear in Pulaski County court on Aug. 10.

This includes speeding, running a stop sign, using unnecessary excessive force, or violating a person's Constitutional Rights.
