Camp Nelson National Cemetery has nearly 19,000 graves, each of which is deliberately and respectfully decorated for this event.

This event is absolutely top shelf and one to attend if you can.

This Memorial Day, the Corporal Bill McMillan–Bluegrass Chapter of the Association of the United States Army joins the Central Kentucky Veterans Committee at Camp Nelson National Cemetery to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Surrounded by thousands of graves of our nation’s fallen, all decorated with flags of the nation they served, we pause to:

• Remember the fallen
• Honor their sacrifice
• Reflect on the cost of our freedom

This day is not about celebration—it is about remembrance.

We especially invite Gold Star families, veterans, and our local community to stand with us.

Welcome to the Corporal Bill McMillan–Bluegrass Chapter of the Association of the United States Army, proudly serving Kentucky communities from our headquarters in Lexington.

Our mission begins at home:
To support Soldiers, veterans, and Army families in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Kentucky—and to strengthen the bond between our local communities and those who have served our nation.

Here, service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.
It continues through connection, support, and looking out for one another—just like we always have.
