🎉 Autumn Woods West, in partnership with our Neighborhood Watch and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, is excited to host National Night Out TONIGHT from 6:00–8:00 PM! 🎉

We know this is the first day of school, and we realize that isn't ideal for some families. Unfortunately, National Night Out is a nationwide event, and the date is determined by the Sheriff's Department, so we're unable to change it.

Let's come together for one last summer celebration before everyone settles into the new school year! ☀️🏡

Here's what we have planned:

🌮 Junction Eats Food Truck
🍦 Nonnie's Pops Ice Cream Truck
🚓 Lexington County Sheriff's Department BearCat

Bring the family, meet your neighbors, enjoy some great food, and spend time with our local deputies as we celebrate what makes Autumn Woods West such a wonderful community! ❤️

📍 Tonight | 6:00–8:00 PM

🌞 Good Afternoon, Autumn Woods West Community! 🌞

We hope everyone had a wonderful, safe, and memorable 250th Independence Day weekend! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

As your volunteer Board of Directors, we're excited to start focusing on more positive things for our neighborhood—community events, improvements, and ways to bring neighbors together. 🤝🏡

To make that happen, we need everyone's help. Instead of working against one another or turning to social media with arguments and negativity, let's work together to make Autumn Woods West a community we're all proud to call home.

The Board's role is to serve as the voice of the community and work alongside our management company, MJS, to help keep our neighborhood running smoothly. One important thing we'd like everyone to understand is that your BOD are volunteers—not law enforcement, not security, and not the neighborhood police. We cannot be everywhere at once, nor should the responsibility of reporting every issue fall solely on the Board.

Many questions that come up on Facebook have already been discussed during Board meetings. Remember, meeting minutes are available to every homeowner through MJS. Nothing discussed at Board meetings is secret, and homeowners are welcome to request copies of the minutes. If you'd like to attend a meeting or ask to address the Board, simply let MJS know—we encourage community involvement! 😊

We also want to help everyone better understand who is responsible for what within our community.

🏊 Community Pool
• Pool hours are 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM daily.
• These hours are posted here on FB, at the pool entrance and were mailed to homeowners by MJS in April.
• There should be no one using the pool before 7:00 AM or after 8:00 PM.
• Moving forward, homeowners who repeatedly disregard the posted rules may lose pool privileges. The rules are there to keep everyone safe and ensure all residents can enjoy the amenities.

🔑 Pool Access Cards
• Pool key cards are managed only by MJS.
• If your card isn't working, please contact MJS at (803) 743-0600.
• The Board cannot activate or troubleshoot access cards. In some cases, access may be suspended if an account is not in good standing, such as unpaid HOA assessments.

🧹 Please Help Keep Our Pool Beautiful
We contract with professional pool and cleaning companies, but keeping our amenities clean is everyone's responsibility.

Unfortunately, after the holiday weekend, our pool area was left with a significant amount of trash. The photos we're sharing show why we need everyone's cooperation. Please clean up after yourselves and encourage your family members and guests to do the same. 🚮💙

A clean community benefits all of us.

📹 Security Cameras & Reporting Concerns
Our security cameras are installed for security purposes and are not actively monitored during pool hours due to privacy and legal considerations. If you witness Someone climbing the pool gate, Vandalism, Illegal activity, and any emergency.

Please contact:

📞 Lexington County Sheriff's Department
• Non-Emergency: (803) 785-8230
• Emergency: 911

If you see a neighborhood violation, maintenance issue, safety concern, or something else that needs attention, please report it directly to MJS at (803) 743-0600. Since you are witnessing the issue firsthand, you have the details needed for them to properly document and address the concern.

🤝 It Takes All of Us

Maintaining our community is a shared responsibility. The Board cannot and should not be expected to be the only people reporting violations or problems. Every homeowner has a role in protecting our neighborhood. If each of us takes a few minutes to report concerns through the proper channels and follows our community rules, we can resolve issues much more quickly and effectively.

❤️ Let's Move Forward Together

Our Board members volunteer their time because they care deeply about this neighborhood. We all share the same goal—to make Autumn Woods West a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable place to live.

Let's replace negativity with communication, complaints with solutions, and division with teamwork. A strong community isn't built by a handful of volunteers—it is built by neighbors who are willing to work together, look out for one another, and take an active role in protecting and improving the place we all call home.

Thank you to everyone who does their part—we truly appreciate you! Together, we can make Autumn Woods West the community we all want it to be. 🏡💙

Good afternoon, neighbors!

As many of you know, the HOA Board has gone through some changes as we welcomed two new members elected in March at our annual meeting — Ali and Angela. They are excited about the opportunity to help strengthen and grow our community together. As a reminder, our HOA Board is made up of volunteers, and our HOA operates as a non-profit organization. We all share the same goal: doing what is best for our neighborhood.

First and foremost, we want to encourage community involvement. If you see something that needs attention, please report it directly to MJS so it can be properly documented and addressed.

For transparency, here’s a quick overview of how violations are handled:
• Any homeowner in the community can submit a violation.
• Once submitted to MJS, it is shared with all the Board for review.
• The Board reviews concerns and votes on approval or denial based on majority vote.

This process ensures that concerns are handled fairly and consistently. While we may not always agree on every issue, we remain committed to working through those conversations together toward the shared goal of maintaining and improving our neighborhood.

We’re also looking for ways to continue strengthening community connections and enhance neighborhood life through events, engagement, and opportunities for neighbors to connect.

Here are some ideas we’d love your feedback on:

🍔 Food Truck Monthly – Bringing in local food trucks for easy, fun dining options.
🌿 Yard of the Month – Letting neighbors vote monthly for the best yard, with bragging rights and a winner’s sign.
🎃 Holiday Events – Trunk-or-treats, bike parades, fall festivals, and holiday decorating contests.
🔧 Fix-It Fairs (monthly/bi-monthly) – Neighbors helping neighbors with small repairs, lawn care, bike repairs, plumbing, and more.
🇺🇸 4th of July Kids Bike Parade – Decorate bikes in red, white, and blue while the neighborhood cheers on our kids!
🍦 Ice Cream Social – Bringing everyone together for a sweet community gathering.
🎉 Neighborhood Block Party – A fun opportunity to connect, meet neighbors, and build community spirit.
🔥 BBQ Cook-Off – Friendly competition to see who has the best BBQ in the neighborhood.

We want to hear from YOU!
What ideas would you like to see in our community? Which of these events would you participate in?

Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more connected neighborhood.
