Looking for a reason to fly — or a way to serve your community?
Operation Airdrop is calling on pilots, volunteers, churches, civic groups, local businesses, and neighbors to help support our Food Donation Drive for the Denton and Gainesville area food banks as part of our 2026 Operation Airdrop Exercise. Sign up now!
On May 30, volunteer pilots and ground teams will help deliver requested nonperishable food items while we test our readiness ahead of hurricane season. Every can, box, and in-kind donation helps us strengthen our ability to respond when communities need us most.
Requested donation items include:
Canned tuna or chicken
Cheerios
Hearty canned soups
Cornbread mix
Canned chicken
Pasta sauce — canned only, no glass jars
Canned baked beans, pork & beans, or Ranch Style beans
Canned chili
How you can help:
✈️ Pilots: Fly donated food to the exercise and help us test our response coordination.
📦 Volunteers: Help collect, sort, load, and transfer donations.
🥫 Community members: Gather food donations from family, friends, churches, HOAs, workplaces, or local organizations.
🤝 Businesses and partners: Support the mission with in-kind donations, supplies, logistics support, or other resources that help us serve local food banks.
