I will not let my baby die in vain. Turning my Tealdrops into Hope for Recovery, the silver lining.
02/26/2025
Today we pause in honor of Deputy Sheriff Ernest Wilson Walters who was killed in the line of duty on February 23rd, 1966. While serving a civil process, Deputy Walters asked the woman to secure her dog to keep it from getting out of the house. The woman went inside, retrieved her shotgun, and killed Deputy Walters. Each and every day, officers put their Iives on the line in order to protect the lives of others.

Tealdrops was founded in memory of Toria Capri Stevens. Vic as we called her was full of life, and was a deeply compassionate soul that brought home beautiful stray kittens. She was artistically talented, loved nature and #1 on her bucket list was to skydive. She died January 22, 2018 of an opioid overdose after struggling with PTSD for three and a half years. She died so that others may live. Fly High, my sweet princess. You did not die in vain.
Our mission is to provide funding for addiction research and relapse prevention programs through global campaigns to raise resources, create unity among opioid addiction resources and reduce the stigma associated with this tragic epidemic.
Tealdrops is the solution to a wide range of problems. First, this fight will require significant financial investments and Tealdrops is going to be pivotal; beginning with our campaign to raise 9 million dollars in 9 months to kick off our global journey for a solution to this epidemic. Second, our campaigns will not only raise money, they will focus on creating unity among all organizations, volunteers and families affected and interested in being part of the solution to the opioid epidemic. Third, Tealdrops will fund post treatment relapse prevention programs that address the spiritual, psychological and the physiological self, while embracing mutual accountability. Finally, the tealdrops icon symbolizes all humans touched by this tragedy and it symbolizes our organizations’ core motive to stop the stigma associated with Opioid Addiction so that those affected are not afraid or ashamed to seek help.
We understand that no one choses to become an addict and addiction does not discriminate. It touches us all. Those affected by addiction and their loved ones come from all walks of life. All races, all religions, all socio economic levels, all education levels, all professions, all political parties and all communitites. To solve this we must ALL unite as one human race and become an intertwined web of support to those suffering around us.
Each of us have tealdrops, they are welled up in our eyes, they choke us up in our throats, and they reside in our praying hands. Tealdrops is the glue that will bring us all together to end the suffering. This is what makes us different.
Let’s come together and become the web of support that turns the painful tears into tealdrops of joy and triumph over this epidemic.
