Good luck to all the hunters heading out for Illinois’ shotgun season! As you enjoy your time, consider making a difference by donating your harvest to Hunters Feeding Illinois.

Your donation helps provide a lean, healthy source of protein to families in need across the state. Processing is free to the hunter, and every deer donated makes a big impact in local food pantries.

Feeding Fulton is assisting Feeding Illinois and Food Pantry Network-HOI in gathering a short snapshot of how our local pantries are doing right now — current numbers served, how that compares to this time last year, and any specific food needs you’re seeing. This information helps us understand what’s happening across the county and where additional support may be needed.

To make this easy, I've created a brief form that only takes a few minutes to complete:

A fast turnaround ensures we can provide an accurate update to partners and identify any pantries that may need extra support this season.

🚛 Volunteers Needed — Coming Soon!

Feeding Fulton is putting together a community volunteer workgroup to help guide our brand-new Mobile Pantry Subcommittee! 🎉

This group will play an important role in shaping how Feeding Fulton reaches families across Fulton County — from planning routes and community partnerships to helping with future distributions and outreach efforts.

We’re still finalizing the details, but we wanted to give you a heads-up: if you’re passionate about serving your neighbors and fighting food insecurity, this will be a great opportunity to get involved! 💪

Feeding Fulton Blog Issue #9 is live!

This week’s issue carries extra meaning as we pause to honor the incredible veterans in our community — the men and women who have served and sacrificed to protect our freedoms. 💙

Behind the scenes, our board has been busy setting up the financial foundation for Feeding Fulton and preparing for our very first fundraiser! (Stay tuned 👀) While the government shutdown has caused a few delays in gathering required info, our mission remains strong — and we’re keeping everyone affected in our thoughts and prayers.

🎉 Exciting news — Feeding Fulton Blog Issue #8 is live and we held our very first Board of Directors meeting this past weekend! We covered a lot of ground, from bylaws and officer roles to upcoming fundraising ideas and our new Mobile Market Subcommittee. The energy, ideas, and passion in the “room” (Zoom 😉) were incredible!
