Angel Paw's Animal Rescue Angel Paws Animal Rescue is an animal rescue and sanctuary where we offer safe haven rescue animals.. It is for that reason space is limited.

Angelia Beaver is the owner of Angel Paws Animal Rescue and as such, is the only person authorized to commit to pulling or accepting an animal for Angel Paws Animal Rescue. We are a registered TN Non-Profit, with a pending 501c3 status, who take in and help animals. We are limited to smaller animals due to no set up for large animals such as horses and cattle. We offer sanctuary to older animals a

nd those that come to us in poor health. If you are in need of help or assistance please message us and we will gladly help in any way possible. Please understand we cannot take in every animal in need, but will assist with the best options we have available at that time! Admins:

Remembering Gunner: A True WWII Hero 🐾

This is a story about a very special dog named Gunner. My uncle brought him back from World War II. Gunner was no ordinary pup—he was raised and slept right under my uncle's anti-aircraft gun. The gun crew loved him so much they even shared their rations to keep him fed.

By the time Gunner was just 18 months old, he had developed an incredible talent. My uncle said Gunner would stand up and look at the sky. If he laid back down, everyone knew things were fine. But if he growled and raised his hackles, the crew knew it was time to get ready. Gunner could recognize the sound of German aircraft, and my uncle swore that he never got it wrong. He was better than any early warning system.

I might be the last one in my family who remembers this story, so I wanted to share it before it gets lost to time, like so many other stories from that era. Thanks for taking a moment to read about Gunner, a true wartime hero. ❤️
