Today’s challenge: Make a sweet treat with your kiddos! What could go wrong?! 😂

Flour on the floor, sprinkles in places sprinkles should NEVER be, and maybe a little more frosting eaten than actually put on the dessert… but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?!

The best memories aren’t always made in a perfectly clean kitchen. Sometimes they’re made in the mess, the laughter, and the memories you create together. ❤️

So grab the aprons, let the kids take the lead (deep breaths, foster parents 😅), and make something sweet together!

Talk About It Tuesday 💬

REMEMBER YOUR WHY!

There are so many ways to say YES in foster care.

Maybe you said yes to becoming a foster parent because you wanted to give a child a safe place to land.

Maybe you said yes because you believe every child deserves to be known, loved, and reminded that they matter.

Maybe you say yes to respite because you want another foster family to have a chance to rest, recharge, and keep going.

Maybe you say yes to praying for biological parents because you believe their story matters, too.

Maybe you say yes to the messy, beautiful, unexpected parts of foster care because you believe God can use your family to make a difference.

Your why matters. And so does every yes that comes from it. 💙

Every bedtime story.
Every soccer game.
Every snack packed for school.
Every laugh around the dinner table.
Every prayer whispered over a child.
Every moment of connection.
Every time you show a child, “You are safe. You are loved. You belong here.”

These are the moments that make foster care so incredibly meaningful.

So today, take a minute to remember your WHY — and celebrate all the ways your yes is making room for love, connection, healing, and hope.

What a BLAST celebrating 50 years of this beautiful ministry! 💚💛

There’s nothing better than an afternoon spent holding our foster babies, playing with the kiddos, and enjoying easy Saturday conversations with our foster parents while the kids ran and played. And of course, the REALLY good food was a bonus!

So thankful to be part of a ministry that has spent 50 years restoring hope and making a difference in the lives of children and families. Here’s to celebrating all that God has done and all that’s still to come! 🌳💚

💚 World Mental Health Day

Foster care can stretch you in ways you never expected.

That’s why taking care of you matters, too.

Therapy can be a really good thing. ❤️ Having someone safe to talk to, working through the hard stuff, asking for help, spending time with people who fill your cup, getting outside, resting, praying, or simply taking a little time for yourself isn’t selfish.

It’s support.

And asking for support doesn’t mean you’re failing as a foster parent. It means you’re human.

Jesus never asked us to carry everything alone. He invites us to bring our burdens to Him, and sometimes the way He provides that support is through the people He puts around us.

So today, foster parents, consider this your reminder:

✨ Fill your cup.
✨ Ask for help.
✨ Find your people.
✨ Make time to breathe.
✨ Go to therapy if you need it.
✨ Pray. Rest. Laugh. Do something that brings you life.

Because these kids need safe, steady adults — and you deserve care, too. 💚

💙 SAME HERE.

If you’ve ever sat in a room talking about foster care or adoption and thought, “Wait…you too?” — that’s Same Here.

Parenting kids from hard places can come with challenges that are hard to explain to people who haven’t lived it. The behaviors. The big feelings. The attachment struggles. The hard days that leave you wondering, “Is this just us?”

And then someone says…

“Same here.”

And suddenly, you don’t feel quite so alone.

That’s one of the things we love about Replanted. It’s a place where foster and adoptive parents can show up exactly as they are, share the real stuff, learn from one another, laugh together, cry together, and hear those two little words that can mean so much:

Same here. ❤️

You’re not the only one figuring it out.

💬 Talk About It Tuesday 💬

Foster care is hard. It’s stressful. There are hard behaviors, difficult conversations, court dates, disrupted routines, big feelings, and moments when you’re just trying to figure out what the next right thing is.

And underneath all of it is something that matters deeply: our kids need to feel safe.

They need adults who are willing to stay steady when things feel anything but steady. They need patience when they’re struggling. They need consistency when they’re testing boundaries. They need adults who can look beyond the behavior and remember that there is a child underneath it who has already experienced more than most kids should.

But foster parents are human, too. Sometimes the stress is overwhelming. Sometimes you don’t have the answer. Sometimes you’ve prayed, talked, researched, tried again…and you still don’t know what to do.

That’s where these lyrics hit a little differently:

🎶 “So I throw up my hands & praise You again & again.” 🎶

Sometimes throwing up our hands isn’t giving up. It’s surrender.

It’s saying, “God, I’ve done what I can do. I need You to carry what I can’t.”

It’s choosing to praise Him in the middle of the unanswered questions. It’s asking Him for patience when we have none left, wisdom when we don’t know what to do, and strength to keep showing up for a child who desperately needs safe adults.

Foster care may feel messy, stressful, and hard. But you don’t have to carry it all by yourself.

Throw up your hands. Give it to God. And then show up again tomorrow. 💙

📚❤️ Happy World Teachers’ Day!

Today we’re celebrating the teachers who do so much more than teach.

For children in foster care, school can be a place of stability, encouragement, and connection during a time when so much else may feel uncertain. A teacher who notices the quiet child, offers a little extra patience, celebrates the small wins, or simply reminds a child, “You matter,” can make a bigger difference than they may ever realize.

Teachers, you may not always see the whole story a child is carrying into your classroom — but God does. And He can use your kindness, patience, and consistency to be a little piece of His love in that child’s life. 💙

Thank you for showing up, loving kids well, and being part of their village.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

Whatever keeps you going—we’re here for it!

Foster parenting can feel nonstop. There are appointments, behaviors, paperwork, school, visits, phone calls, big emotions…and sometimes you just need five quiet minutes and a warm (or ice-cold!) drink.

Taking a break doesn’t mean you’re giving up. It means you’re taking care of yourself so you can keep showing up for the child in your care.

So today, put your feet up, take a deep breath, and enjoy that coffee, tea, or Diet Coke. You’ve earned it. ❤️
