❤️🖤💚 Honoring Juneteenth ❤️🖤💚

Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the enduring hope that Juneteenth represents. On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Juneteenth is a day to reflect, learn, celebrate culture, and continue pursuing justice, unity, and hope for future generations. As a community, we recognize the importance of listening, supporting one another, and honoring the stories and contributions of Black Americans throughout history and today.

May we continue building communities where every child, family, and individual feels seen, valued, and supported. ✨

Replanted Conference
📅 November 20th & 21st
📍 1010 Carroll Road | Fort Wayne, Indiana

Foster care and adoption were never meant to be done alone — and neither is supporting the families who say “yes.”

Replanted is not only for foster and adoptive parents. It is also an incredible opportunity for the people who walk beside them every day:
💛 Church families
💛 Grandparents & relatives
💛 Friends
💛 Neighbors
💛 Babysitters & support systems
💛 Anyone wanting to better understand foster care and adoption

When support systems learn together, families grow stronger together.

Replanted offers encouragement, education, practical tools, and powerful perspectives from people with lived experience — helping everyone better understand the joys, challenges, and realities of caring for children from hard places.

✨ Meaningful connection
✨ Trauma-informed learning
✨ Encouragement for caregivers AND supporters
✨ Community that reminds you you’re not alone
✨ A weekend that can change how families feel seen and supported

Share this post. Repost it. Invite someone to come with you.

Because strong foster and adoptive families are built with strong community around them. 🌿

Talk About It Tuesday 💬

If foster parents had a “Foster Parent Survival Kit,” what would be inside? 👀💙

We’ll start:
☕ Coffee
🍫 Emergency chocolate
🧻 Wet wipes for literally everything
🙏 Prayer
📅 A giant calendar
😴 Extra patience
🎧 A good playlist
💬 Encouragement from other foster parents

But in all seriousness — foster parenting takes incredible strength, flexibility, compassion, and support. Behind the scenes are adults showing up day after day for children who need consistency, care, and connection.

Sometimes survival looks like:
✨ Reheating your coffee 3 times
✨ Making it through bedtime routines
✨ Celebrating tiny wins
✨ Asking for help
✨ Trying again tomorrow

To every foster parent navigating hard and beautiful moments at the same time: you are seen, appreciated, and not alone. 💙

✨ What is one thing you wish people understood about foster care?
“Foster care is hard work, but God is faithful to equip you!”

✨ What keeps you motivated on hard days?

Happy National Best Friends Day! 🫶

Sometimes the best moments in childhood are the simple ones:
✨ Laughing together
✨ Playing outside
✨ Sharing snacks
✨ Having someone sit beside you

For children in foster care, healthy friendships and safe connections matter deeply. Whether it’s siblings, foster families, mentors, classmates, or trusted adults — relationships help children feel seen, valued, and supported.

Today we celebrate the people who show up, stay consistent, and remind kids they are never alone. 💙

Foster care can be hard, messy, beautiful, and incredibly meaningful.

Today on National Doughnut Day, we’re celebrating the people who continue to “do-nut” give up on kids and families. 🍩💙

To every foster parent, case manager, supporter, volunteer, therapist, and caregiver — thank you for showing up again and again.

Sometimes the smallest acts of care can make the biggest difference.
A ride to practice.
A bedtime story.
A favorite snack.
A safe place to land.

You help children feel seen, loved, and valued.

Foster Parent Appreciation 💛

It’s the everyday moments that matter most—the rides to appointments, the bedtime routines, the hard conversations, and the small wins worth celebrating.

"When people ask me about our foster families (who they are, what they do, etc.), I generally say that the primary qualification is to be a little crazy. In our world today, it feels a little crazy to take other people’s kids into your home and love on them. But our foster parents do it. Some of them do it over and over again. I find it inspiring, especially when I see them raising their own kiddos and juggling work and church responsibilities and 100 other things. They may be just a little crazy, but it’s my kind of crazy!"
-Jeff, Executive Director

"Our parents are simply the best, they always have the kid’s best interest at heart. Their work as parents is hard. I am so often filled with pride at their responses to ugly, often unspeakable things. They choose love and grace, when judgement and condemnation would surely be the easier choice. They go above and beyond loving kids, they extend compassion and kindness to case workers, biological family, judges, and even me! What a gift to serve alongside them."
-Shelley, Foster Care Case Manager

"Our foster parents see past the behaviors and see God’s child no matter if the kiddo is in their home for 5 minutes of 5 years, and they are determined to show the love of Jesus Christ to every child that enters their home. Our foster parents step, jump, leap and run into the trenches for their foster kids and for the kids' parents."
-Jenn, Foster Care Case Worker Manager

Foster parenting isn’t easy, but your willingness to step in and stand in the gap changes everything for the children in your care.

You are making a difference—every single day.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we are so thankful for you.
