Thank You!!!!!

The project is fully funded!
In fact, funded with a little left over for a small donation to leave with the church trustees. We also had a little left-over material that will be donated to a Scout that will start his Eagle project at the church. His project will tie into Gavin's project on the north side of the building.

Well, we are in a bit of a rain delay - ah Kansas.

Mother Nature is slowing us down a bit today - if you were planning to come to the work day today we have pushed back our start time to 9:00 am due to the rain.

It has been a busy week with the project. First layer of stones has been set after a LOT of dirt work ensuring a level base.

Today we picked up the stone for the landscaping wall from Oldcastle APG in Bonner Springs. Work on the wall will be starting soon!

The next need for the project is two cubic yards of gravel and some play sand. If anyone is interested in sponsoring the gravel or sand for the project, please let me know!

Special thanks today to the following people for their help with the unloading of the stone (two loads and several thousand pounds of stone by HAND). Thank you to Mr. Likes, Mr. Larry, Cyrus Tuttle, Jackson Tuttle, Brynn Tuttle and Nick Barnett for their time and muscle!

As well, a big thank you to Oldcastle APG for their large donation of all the stone for our project.

Interested in supporting my project?

I have several areas of need for this project. We are building a low retaining wall and expanding the flower bed along the west side of the original church. I was able to secure a large donation of landscaping stones for the wall. However, we will still need funding for the cost of sand, gravel, fill dirt, mulch and replacement plants.

I am working with two companies for the stone and the materials to purchase at cost (as well their very generous donations that I will acknowledge very soon).

My biggest need is monetary donations to assist with the costs of the materials. How can you help?

You can send a Venmo to -Elliott-2 with the note of Eagle Project. Or if you prefer, you can mail a check to our home (just contact us for an address). I will be purchasing a few items for the landscaping at a big box home improvement store, so a gift card is also very helpful.

I will also have a few workdays if you would like to come help build the wall and bed. Our first workday is scheduled for May 30 - more details to follow soon!
