Grateful to President Macron for an engaging conversation at on how to protect kids from predatory algorithms. I appreciate the President and his cabinet working toward a policy similar to the one that just took effect in Australia, age-gating social media accounts for kids under 16.

I applaud President Macron for acting boldly to raise the social media age to 15. This is real leadership by France.

What matters is a clear age floor (no parental-consent loopholes, clear responsibility of platforms). I continue to argue for regulatory coherence and because evidence on cognitive fragmentation and educational decline keeps getting stronger.

Higher age floors mean more protection: 18 is better than 16, 16 better than 15, 15 better than 13. I celebrate every step forward 👏🏼
