**Car Show for tonight has been cancelled**

This Wednesday June 10, 2026 is Exotic Cars and Imports and Expo Night from 6-8pm! Expo area is on Canal Street, come stop by and see the many Lemont Cruise Night sponsors!

We will also be celebrating Route 66 - 100 years, check out Village Green on Main Street for Lemont's Route 66 chair and a special appearance by The Blue Brothers, and more!

At Legion Park on Main Street near BTB Wines there will be open mic provide by School of Rock Lemont during the car show. If you would like to participant in open mic use the link to sign up: https://forms.gle/empqLZZosgciYovu8

All show cars parking on Main Street, please wait to turn cars until roads are closed and staff has instructed you to do so.

In most cases the car show is a rain or shine event, if the show is cancelled due to weather, we will post the cancellation no later than 3pm to Lemont Cruise Nights Facebook on the day of the car show.

Lemont's best block party returns with food vendors, music and fun for the whole family. Lemont Cruise Nights runs every Wednesday June 3, 2026 - August 26, 2026. (With no show on July 1, 2026. )

The Lemont Cruise Nights will deeply miss our friend, Tom Ballard. Tom and his team not only ensured our roads were safely closed for each show, he also played a vital role in watching the weather and keeping us protected when conditions changed. His devotion to serving the public, along with his genuine care, made every event safer and helped all of us feel supported. There was truly no one like him, and his commitment will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our hearts are with Tom’s family during this difficult time.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Tom Ballard, Director of the Lemont Emergency Management Agency (LEMA). The loss is felt not only within the Village of Lemont, but across our community, our state, and far beyond.

As the Director of LEMA for over 25 years, Tom dedicated himself to keeping our residents safe. He played a vital role in emergency responses, disaster preparations, road closures, traffic control, event logistics, and countless behind-the-scenes efforts that allowed our community to function smoothly during both everyday operations and in times of crisis. Tom served as our community’s severe weather watcher, always keeping an eye on the skies. He assisted communities throughout Illinois needing additional support or recovering from natural tragedies, offering his expertise wherever it was needed. His leadership, assuring presence, and unwavering commitment earned him respect everywhere he went.

We are profoundly grateful for his service, deep knowledge, and the compassion he brought to every situation. Tom poured his heart and soul into everything he did, always going above and beyond for others. He had a remarkable way of making every person he met feel seen, valued and special.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 26, from 2-7 p.m., and on Tuesday, January 27, from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tom’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Please keep them in your thoughts as we honor his life and legacy. A special dedication in Tom's honor will be presented at an upcoming Village Board meeting. Our flags are flying at half-staff in honor of Tom.

The 2025 Lemont Cruise Nights has ended for the season! We'll be back in June of 2026!

Congratulations to the 2025 Duane Petersen Trophy Winner - Christopher L. of Burbank, Il!

Christopher's 2024 Chevy Corvette Z51 received the most votes; and was awarded the trophy at the season's last car show on August 27, 2025.

Thank you to everyone who attended through-out the season; making this the best best block party and car show in the area! We are sad that the season has come to an end. 😞 Looking forward to seeing everyone again next year! 😀
