For those of you wondering about my silence since my recovery, this was dropped on the downtown's lap this week. Please, if you are able, sign this petition to have the zoning ordinances changed to keep the downtown for BUSINESSES.

I am concerned - we've spent the past 5 years cleaning this area up, making it safe and friendly. I just paid out of my own pocket for 4, 10 foot metal poles and street lights to brighten up the alley to keep away rif-raf. I may need to buy more because our neighbors, including a 78 year old widow, has asked to have one placed by her parking area because her car has been vandalized and she feels unsafe.

My friends and I have pulled together our networks to bring the arts, P & R, historical societies and various non-profits together to ensure that everyone benefits when we hold events. I have an amazing event in the works for Spring of '26, but none of this will happen if another homeless centered facility opens in the downtown. We already have the shelters on North 1st St, and a warming station on North 3rd, it would be better for everyone to condense those services not spread them from one end of town to the other.

A reminder that loose crystals are now allowed at the Witches' Midnight Market, but there is a max of 3 vendors as I curate my events and I don't want too much competition between vendors. At this point, we are looking at 150-180 vendors spots this year. That DOES INCLUDE our free spots for local non-profits, so if you are a non-profit and haven't filled in the registry, please do so ASAP!

Witches' Market contracts are slowly going out. Food folk, I will send your contracts next week with very specific instructions. Lehighton Borough requires a permit so I must collect all that information from you, the fee for the permit is included in the price for your spot.

ALSO - vendors who are just starting out - Lehighton Area Merchants Association will be doing 2 smaller events this year (one sidewalk event May 2, one (potential) street closing event in August) These are very low cost ($20 - 60) and low pressure venues to see how well your merchandise does. Also a medium volume event by P & R in June (Steampunk) Drop a note in the comments if you are interested in participating in those.

NON PROFITS if you would like a table, you'll need to register too. For every 10 paid spots, I give away a free spot to a local non-profit. School groups and Fire departments do get moved to the top of the list.

To register for any LAMA or Night Market Event in 2026. Please fill in the registry form. This does not guarantee you a spot. I usually have over 300 vendors apply for my events and I curate them to ensure vendors are not competing against one another at the same show. The Witches' Midnight Market is the only show that consistently brings in upwards of 5k attendees (some years double that) so I feel comfortable allowing a few duplicates there in a few categories.

Vendor registry will be open next week. This is the first step to getting into one of my events. Registering for an event does not mean you are guaranteed a spot. I curate my events to ensure that vendors are not competing with each others, and so attendees get the widest variety of wares to choose from.

I am looking into a new method of accepting payment to hopefully avoid scammers. I will also be posting how much each spot costs. I am doing everything I can to prevent people from being scammed HOWEVER PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY IS REQUIRED AS WELL. IF YOU ARE CONTACTED BY SOMEONE WHO CLAIMS TO BE WORKING WITH ME, OR CLAIMS THEY ARE ME, AND IT DOESN'T COME FROM A BRANDED EMAIL. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY. I am taking on the extra expense of a website and domain to make it easier for you to tell if someone is part of my organization or not.

The Witches' Midnight Market has been approved for Oct 24, 2026. HOWEVER - I am involved with other groups who would also like to get permission to hold events downtown. If you are near Lehighton and would like to lend your support for a SteamPunk event in June to celebrate the USA's 250th, and a Krampus / Night Market event next December to raise money for Carbon County Children and Youth, please attend the Council meeting at 6:30pm, Monday January 5 in Borough Hall. 1 Constitution Avenue, Lehighton, PA 18235.

Also, if you are a local, I am looking for an apprentice to learn how to organize larger events should we get these 2 events also approved. I would dearly love more community involvement - everything from "I can spare a few hours this one time" to "I can do 'x' weekly" as we are looking to transform the downtown into immersive event locations, which means a lot of prop building and decorating. and @
