Cotton Branch has a chance to unlock a matching gift next week, but we need 11 new people to start Raise the Refuge fundraisers by Sunday, June 7th. 💛

Raise the Refuge is our NEW peer-to-peer fundraising challenge, and it runs through June 30th. You start your own page, share it with your people, and help raise support for the animals who call Cotton Branch home.

This is simple. This is powerful. This could make a real difference.

And the Fantastic Four are exactly why this matters.

They survived heartbreaking neglect. For most of their lives, they lived in a space no bigger than a tiny car, without the safety, comfort, and care they deserved. Now they are safe, but rescue does not stop at removal. They still need medical care, food, housing, daily caregiving, and a refuge that keeps showing up. Every single day.

If 11 new people start fundraisers by Sunday, June 7th, a generous donor will match donations made next week to each existing and new fundraising page, up to $100 per page. 🎉

Wishlist Wednesday looks a little different today. 🐷💊

Instead of sending folks straight to our Amazon wishlist, we’re asking our Cotton Branch family to help with something we need right now: Gabapentin.

A lot of our residents rely on Gabapentin to stay comfortable, especially our older pigs and those managing chronic pain, arthritis, and long-term medical needs. We order it in powdered form through a special supplier, which helps us stretch every dollar further and keep costs as low as possible.

Our next order is $300, and because this comes through a supplier outside of Amazon, it isn’t something we can add to the regular wishlist.

So today, we’re asking you to Give for Gabba. 💛

We know we’ve asked for a lot lately. We have a big peer-to-peer campaign going (Raise The Refuge), and we are so grateful for everyone who has jumped in, shared, donated, or started a fundraiser. But sanctuary life also means immediate needs don’t wait, and today, this is one of them.

Some people survive trauma, but they should not have to heal alone. 💛

That is why Cotton Branch is building something bigger than animal care.

We are developing an animal-assisted therapy program for people living with PTSD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, and other serious mental health challenges.

Built with clinical guidance and specialized training, this refuge is meant to become a place where both animals and people can begin to feel safe again.

Because healing does not always happen in an office. Sometimes it begins quietly, beside an animal who understands survival.

That is why Raise the Refuge matters.

This June, we are inviting supporters to join the Raise the Refuge Challenge by starting an individual or team fundraising page and sharing it with their community.

And yes, there are incredible perks. 🎉

Anyone who raises more than $1,000 will be entered to win a Cotton Branch VegFest Weekend Getaway for two, including a fine dining dinner with Josh and Evan, two nights at the Marriott Columbia, a full Cotton Branch tour, brunch at The Hoot, VIP early entry to Columbia VegFest, and a specialty VIP gift bag.
