There’s nothing better than the smell of cooking sausage in the morning.

The campout ends today, the memories last forever.

Annual Troop Lake trip. Scouts did some fishing, went swimming, and got some time on the boat.

All in all a great trip for these scouts with some awesome memories.

Scouts from the Troop joined Cub Scout Pack 4366 Lee's Summit, MO for a big community service project at Bernard Campbell Middle School, Underwood Elementary School, and Meadow Lane Elementary LSR7.

The Scouts spent the morning removing downed tree limbs, picking up trash, pulling weeds from flowerbeds, and cleaning up overgrown areas around the school grounds.

It wasn't glamorous or easy, but they kept working, kept helping each other, and kept going until the job was done.

That's Scouting. Showing up. Serving others. And working together. At the end of the project these scouts had collected 4 full trash bags and 4 full yard waste bags.

Of course, every good Scout outing needs a little wildlife encounter. This adorable little raccoon spent some time watching our Scouts work. We briefly considered making him the newest member of Troop 366, but apparently he didn’t hit the required age limit.

Great job, Scouts!

As we prepared for the new scout year and another season of campouts, our scouts got a refresher on fire safety.

Scouts got hands-on practice reviewing fire safety, proper fire management, and the responsibilities that come with building and maintaining a campfire.

From choosing the right materials and managing the fire to understanding how to safely control and extinguish it, these are skills every Scout should know.

Because in Scouting, knowing how to start a fire is only half the skill… knowing how to manage it safely is the important part!

Congratulations Madison!

Today she wrapped up her amazing Eagle Scout project at Valor Ranch!

Madison led a team who took a single flagpole and transformed it into a beautiful Veterans Plaza. It features new landscaping, benches, flags for each branch of the Armed Forces, and a flag box.

The result is a lasting place of honor, reflection, and gratitude for the men and women who have served our country. And a fitting project for Valor Ranch, which provides transitional housing for veterans.

From planning and fundraising to organizing volunteers and leading the work, Madison demonstrated the leadership, dedication, and perseverance that define an Eagle Scout.

Please join us in congratulating Madison on this outstanding accomplishment and wishing her the best as she completes the final steps on her journey to earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

Well done, Madison!

There’s no better feeling than relaxing by the pond and fishing. Or, if you’re with cub scouts, mass chaos but lots of fun. (We wouldn’t have it any other way.)

On Saturday, August 1st one of our scouts will pull together volunteers to complete an Eagle Scout project at Valor Ranch. The project includes installing Military flags and landscaping.

The scout is close to fulfilling the fundraising for the project but is still looking for some additional donations to cover plants and gravel. Donations can be made at the below link:
