🇺🇸 D-Day Remembrance | June 6, 1944 🇺🇸

Today we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy during D-Day, one of the most pivotal moments in world history.
When we think of military service, we often picture the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who answered the call. But alongside them stood another group of warriors who carried their own burden of service—the horses, mules, and pack animals that supported military operations around the world.
Throughout World War II, hundreds of thousands of horses and mules transported supplies, ammunition, medical equipment, and wounded personnel across terrain where vehicles simply could not go. They carried the weight of war through mountains, forests, and battlefields, serving with unwavering loyalty and courage.
Many never returned home.

At My Shepherd's Ranch, we believe their service should never be forgotten. The bond between humans and horses has shaped history, carried nations through conflict, and continues to support healing, resilience, and public service today.
As we remember the heroes of D-Day, we also honor the animals who stood beside them—working not for glory or recognition, but because they trusted the people they served.
May we never forget the sacrifices made for freedom.
To the Greatest Generation, and to the horses that carried them forward, we remember.
🇺🇸 Lest We Forget. 🇺🇸

June is PTSD Awareness Month

At My Shepherd’s Ranch, we know that healing doesn’t always happen in a doctor's office, a classroom, or a counseling session.
Sometimes healing begins in the quiet presence of a horse.
As a Veteran and First Responder-led organization, PTSD awareness is not just something we recognize during the month of June—it's something we witness every day. We understand that trauma can affect anyone: Veterans, First Responders, disaster survivors, children facing adversity, and everyday people carrying burdens that often go unseen.
Horses have an incredible ability to meet people where they are. They don't judge your past. They don't care about your title, rank, or the mistakes you've made. They respond to honesty, patience, trust, and presence.
Every horse that comes through My Shepherd's Ranch has its own story. Many arrive neglected, abandoned, fearful, or misunderstood. Through time, consistency, and compassion, we help them rebuild confidence and purpose. In many ways, their journey mirrors the journey of people working through trauma.
The lessons learned beside a horse—trust, resilience, emotional regulation, confidence, and connection—can be powerful reminders that healing is possible.
While we are not a therapy facility, our mission creates opportunities for meaningful human-horse connections through education, horsemanship, rescue, rehabilitation, and community engagement. Every horse we save and every person we reach is another step toward hope.
This June, we encourage everyone to remember that PTSD is often an invisible battle. Check on your friends. Check on your family. Check on your fellow Veterans, First Responders, and neighbors.
And if you're carrying a burden yourself, know this:
You are not weak. You are not alone. And your story isn't over.
From all of us at My Shepherd's Ranch, thank you to those who continue to fight battles that others cannot see.

On Memorial Day, many will see the Riderless Horse — a symbol of honor, sacrifice, and a soldier who will never ride home again.
But behind that powerful tradition is something else:
A horse with a purpose.
A horse with a job.
A horse trusted to carry duty, honor, and service.

At My Shepherd’s Ranch Inc., that meaning matters deeply to us.

We believe horses were never meant to be forgotten or discarded. They were built for partnership. For purpose. For service alongside people.

That is why our mission focuses on rescuing horses and preparing them for meaningful second careers — whether in mounted patrol, search & rescue, therapy work, disaster response, or community outreach.

This Memorial Day, we honor not only the heroes who gave everything for our freedom, but also the horses who stood beside them throughout history — carrying courage into battle, into service, and into remembrance.

Some horses carry riders.
Some horses carry healing.
Some horses carry history.

And every horse deserves the chance to have a purpose.

🇺🇸 Honor the fallen.
Honor the mission.
Honor the horse

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we have the freedoms we enjoy today.

At My Shepherd’s Ranch Inc., this day carries deep meaning. We are proud to be Veteran and First Responder owned and operated, and we strive to carry forward the values of service, sacrifice, resilience, and commitment in everything we do — from rescuing horses to supporting youth, disaster response efforts, and our rural community.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend.
It is a reminder that freedom was never free.

Not just today but everyday, we remember the fallen.
We honor their legacy.
And we continue serving with purpose because of them.

🇺🇸 From all of us at My Shepherd’s Ranch —
Thank you to those who gave all. Your sacrifice gives us strength.

The rain may have brought relief… but in North Florida and South Georgia, wildfire season is far from over.

Burn bans are beginning to lift across some areas, and while that’s a blessing for many communities, we know firsthand how quickly conditions can change. One dry week. One spark. One shifting wind. That’s all it takes.

At My Shepherd’s Ranch, we are not standing down. We are staying prepared.
As a Veteran & First Responder–led organization with extensive wildland firefighting experience, we understand that readiness matters long before smoke appears on the horizon. From gathering emergency supply caches to preparing horses and equipment for disaster response, our mission continues every single day.
Our team is actively building the capability to assist during hurricanes, wildfires, and rural emergencies — because when disaster strikes, animals and people alike deserve a fighting chance.
The community support shown during recent fires has been incredible. Cases of water. PPE. Encouragement. Donations. Every single act reminded us what small towns and strong people are capable of when they come together.
So while the burn bans may lift… our commitment will not.

We stay ready — for the horses, for our neighbors, and for the communities we proudly serve.

Today marks more than the start of construction.

Today, we officially broke ground on the future home of our Roots & Reins Community Horsemanship Arena at My Shepherds Ranch Inc..

What began as a vision built around rescue, second chances, and community is now becoming reality — one shovel of dirt at a time. (Or tractor)

This arena will become a place where:
• Rescue horses find purpose again
• Youth learn confidence, responsibility, and true horsemanship
• Families reconnect through faith, discipline, and community
• Future mounted search & rescue, therapy, and public service horses are developed
• People from all walks of life can experience healing through horses

Even while we are actively gathering supplies, delivering support, and doing our part for ongoing wildland firefighter relief efforts across North Florida and South Georgia, progress here at home continues because of people willing to stand beside this mission.
A special thank you goes to anonymous — our biggest supporter — for stepping up and allowing us to use a tractor to officially make this groundbreaking possible. Support like this is what turns vision into action.
In a small rural community like ours, projects like this do not happen overnight. They happen because people believe in something bigger than themselves.

Every donation, every share, every encouraging word, every person who stands beside this mission helped make today possible.
This ground we broke today represents hope.
Hope for the horses.
Hope for the next generation.
Hope for a stronger community.
We still have a long road ahead — fencing, footing, lighting, materials, and infrastructure — but today proved something important:
Roots & Reins is no longer just a dream. It’s happening.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our mission of restoring lives — horse and human.

🔥 WHY THIS MISSION MATTERS TO MY SHEPHERD’S RANCH 🔥

Many people know us as a horse rescue.
What many may not realize is… this mission directly impacts the survival of horses, livestock, and rural communities alike.
Our COO, Timber, has spent nearly a decade working as a Type 1 & Type 2 Wildland Firefighter on some of the most demanding wildfire incidents in the country — often on fires exceeding 50,000 acres in mountainous terrain.

This isn’t something distant to us.
This is personal.
As drought conditions continue to impact North Florida and South Georgia, hay fields have already become scarce. Farmers are struggling. Supplies are tightening.

Now with wildfires continuing to spread…
many hay producers are facing even greater losses.
And the reality is simple:
➡️ Without hay, horses don’t eat.
Not just rescue horses.
Not just ranch horses.
ALL horses.

Wildfires don’t only threaten forests and homes — they threaten agriculture, livestock, feed supply, and the very resources animals depend on to survive.
That’s why My Shepherd’s Ranch has stepped forward to support the men and women fighting these fires head-on.

👉Every supply cache delivered helps support firefighters working exhausting hours to protect:
🔥 Communities
🔥 Ranches
🔥 Livestock
🔥 Farmland
🔥 Hay fields

This mission aligns with everything we stand for:
Protecting lives.
Protecting animals.
Protecting the communities that depend on both.
We are committed to continuing this effort — but we cannot do it alone.
Every donation, every share, every act of support helps make sure these firefighters know they are not forgotten or alone.

The Spirit of a Horse Heals More Than We Can See.
At My Shepherd’s Ranch, we witness something incredible every single day…
Horses don’t just carry weight —
they carry pain, fear, anxiety… and slowly help release it.
They meet you where you are.

No judgment. No expectations. Just presence.

In a world that moves too fast…
a horse teaches you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect —
not just with them… but with yourself.

💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
And we want you to know:

You are not alone.

Healing doesn’t have to happen in silence.
Sometimes… it starts with a quiet moment beside a horse.
At My Shepherd’s Ranch, our rescued horses are finding their purpose again —
and in the process, they’re helping people do the same.

Where Rescue. Meets Rescue.

🤝 Support the mission.
Help us continue transforming lives — horse and human.

🌧️ The rain is here… but the fight is far from over. 🔥
North Florida and South Georgia are finally seeing a soaking rain — something we’ve all been praying for.
But here’s the truth most don’t see…
Our firefighters don’t get to pack up and go home.
They’re still out there.
Still digging lines.
Still watching for flare-ups.
Still protecting everything we love.
And thanks to this incredible community — you showed up. BIG.
Because of you, we have gathered more than enough physical supplies.
The support, the donations, the willingness to help… it’s been overwhelming in the best way.
But now, our mission shifts.

👉 What’s needed most right now is PPE.
Items these men and women go through daily:
Socks
Bandanas
Gloves

Essentials that keep them going in brutal conditions
To keep up with the incredible volume of messages and people wanting to help, we’ve created a direct way to make an impact:

Every donation is tax-deductible and you’ll receive an immediate receipt.

🤝 We are actively working with a major supplier to secure bulk PPE at a massive discounted rate — meaning your donation goes even further, faster, and directly into the hands of firefighters.

This isn’t just about today.
It’s about the long road ahead.
At My Shepherd’s Ranch, we’re committed to continuing supply runs and supporting those on the front lines — until the job is truly done.
If you’ve been looking for a way to help…
this is it.

Donate. Share. Stand with those who stand for us.
