Thanks again to all of those who signed my petition, voted for me, and supported my campaign!

I am truly grateful and excited to serve in this way.

The results of the Board of Directors election were announced last night during the Annual meeting of Members at Owl's Nest Resort. Six candidates ran to fill three seats on the 11-member board. William Darcy, of Benton, was re-elected, while Laurel Boivin, of Lee, and Carl Knowlton, of New Hampton, were elected as directors. All were elected to three-year terms. The board of directors at its organizational meeting following the Annual Meeting elected the following officers to serve one-year terms:

Alana Albee – Chair
William Darcy – Vice Chair
Jerry Stringham – Treasurer
Peter Laufenberg – Assistant Treasurer
Jeff Morrill – Secretary

Thank you to everyone who voted in this year’s election. There were a total of 7,559 votes, which is a nearly 22% increase over the total vote in 2025. Great job!

I'm honored and grateful to share that I have been elected to the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative Board of Directors.

Thank you to the members who placed their trust in me through their vote. I am deeply appreciative of your confidence and the opportunity to serve.

Throughout this campaign, I had the privilege of meeting and hearing from members across the Cooperative's service territory. I listened to concerns about affordability, reliability, infrastructure, broadband, transparency, and the future of our Cooperative. I also heard a deep commitment to the values that make NHEC unique: local control, member ownership, and a focus on serving our communities.

I ran because I believe strong governance requires thoughtful leadership, diverse perspectives, respectful dialogue, and a willingness to ask good questions.

I look forward to bringing my experience in the energy industry, environmental stewardship, communications, and community engagement to the board table.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me, signed my petition, displayed a sign, shared a post, attended a forum, asked thoughtful questions, or simply offered words of support along the way.

This campaign was a reminder of the power of community and the importance of civic participation.

I am excited to get to work and to serve the members of NHEC with integrity, curiosity, and a long-term perspective.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked at the intersection of infrastructure, regulation, environmental stewardship, public communication, and community relationships.

From that experience I know that infrastructure decisions are never just technical decisions.

They are financial decisions. Community decisions. Environmental decisions. Reliability decisions. Quality of life decisions.

That’s why thoughtful planning, responsible investment, and steady leadership matter so much — especially in industries responsible for essential services like electricity and broadband.

And that's exactly why I am running for the NH Electric Cooperative Board of Directors.

If you are a NHEC member, time is running out to vote.

You can vote online using your SmartHub account until 4:30pm on Wednesday, June 10.

As the NH Electric Cooperative Board of Directors' campaign season winds down, I’ve found myself reflecting on how much I've learned about campaigning and myself in the process.

Over the past two months, I’ve had the opportunity to meet members from communities across New Hampshire, listen to their perspectives, and learn more about the issues that are important to them.

I’ve heard concerns about affordability, reliability, outages, sustainability, infrastructure, and the future of the cooperative.

Regardless of the outcome, I’m grateful for every conversation, every question, every word of encouragement, and every opportunity to connect with fellow members.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.

A special thank you to Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative (PAREI) for its endorsement, and to Brad Harkavy - NHEC Board Candidate and Tom Randell for the conversations, camaraderie, and shared commitment to running a fun and respectful campaign.

After spending more than 30 years working in energy, environmental stewardship, infrastructure, government relations, and community engagement, I’ve come to appreciate how interconnected these systems really are.

Reliability.
Affordability.
Resilience.
Communication.
Long-term planning.
Public trust.

None of these exist independently.

Strong utility infrastructure — electric and broadband alike — requires thoughtful leadership, responsible stewardship, and the ability to balance today’s needs with long-term realities.

That perspective is part of why I’m running for the NHEC Board of Directors.

One of the reasons I chose to run alongside Brad Harkavy - NHEC Board Candidate and Tom Randell is that we share a belief that good governance begins with listening.

Listening to members.

Representing members.

Inviting members into the conversation.

Creating opportunities for meaningful engagement.

And fostering an environment where all voices and perspectives are welcomed, respected, and heard.

The cooperative belongs to its members. The best decisions are made when members feel informed, included, and part of the dialogue about the future.

That's the kind of leadership I hope to bring to the NHEC Board.

If you are a New Hampshire Electric Cooperative member and have not voted yet, please vote today!

You can vote online, using your SmartHub account, until 4:30 p.m. on June 10.

People have asked why I chose to campaign alongside Brad Harkavy - NHEC Board Candidate and Tom Randell.

The answer is simple.

We each bring different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, but we share a commitment to affordable, reliable energy and thoughtful stewardship of the cooperative.

My background is in utility operations, environmental stewardship, government relations, communications, and community engagement.

Brad brings deep experience in utility technology, grid modernization, and innovation.

Tom brings decades of experience in energy, infrastructure, and investment.

Different experiences.
Different perspectives.
Shared commitment to serving NHEC members.

I believe strong boards benefit from a diversity of experience and constructive dialogue, and that's one reason I'm proud to campaign alongside them.

The Clean Tech Exec. The Large Utility Leadership Pro. The Infrastructure Investment Guy. New Hampshire Electric Co-op members can vote for three positions in this board election. Learn more about our vision for NHEC's future.
