GOOD NEWS FOR OUR SPRINGS: Earlier this week, the Citrus County Commission voted unanimously in support of a STRONG fertilizer ordinance with a rainy season ban! 👏

Shoutout to Michael McGrath with Sierra Club Florida, FSC Board Member Maxine Connor, and the Sierra Club Adventure Coast Group for working with the commissioners and making this happen!

This strong fertilizer ordinance is a cost-effective solution for the community, and it will help Citrus County achieve the required 2028 nitrogen reductions for the Kings Bay and Homosassa/Chassahowitzka basins 🤝 We hope to see more counties across the state push for rainy season fertilizer bans to protect our springs and rivers and
