Career Forward: A New Pathway from Tec Centro Lebanon
This month, we’re excited to highlight a new program launching from our Lebanon Center: Career Forward: Job Readiness for English Learners.
Developed as part of Tec Centro Workforce Network, Career Forward is designed to address a critical gap in today’s workforce, which is helping English learners build the skills, confidence, and support needed to secure and sustain meaningful employment.
What Career Forward Delivers
Launching in Fall 2026, this 12-week program combines English language development with real-world job readiness training.
Participants will gain:
Workplace-focused English instruction
Career coaching and individualized support
Digital literacy skills, including access to a personal tablet
Direct connections to employment and training opportunities
Wraparound support to address barriers like childcare and transportation
This is practical, applied learning with a clear outcome: employment and long-term stability.
Why This Program Matters
In Lebanon County, many adult learners face overlapping barriers—limited English proficiency, gaps in education, and challenges accessing traditional workforce programs.
Career Forward was built to meet those realities head-on by integrating language and workforce training into one streamlined pathway.
Supported in part by a WellSpan Health Inspire Grant, the program reflects a broader commitment to addressing economic stability as a key driver of community health.

Career Forward is strengthened through collaboration with local organizations, including LCCM, IU13, Lebanon Family Health Services, school districts, and the WellSpan Community Health Council.
At the same time, our Workforce Team maintains strong relationships with regional employers, ensuring participants are connected to real job opportunities aligned with workforce demand.
