I can't believe I wrote this and forgot to mention something. More importantly, mentioned someone. Taking care of the troops is a foundation in leadership. To show that it never stops after you take the boots off though is the foundation in a great individual. Don Payne Thanks for being the lynch pin in this situation. You were told of a situation and did what you always did, made the pieces come together. Thanks for taking care of someone that wasn't your friend, you didn't know, has done nothing for you. They simply are a soldier and that's enough.

VFW Post 4107 may be going over some bumps but the mission of helping our military members doesn't stop.

Today the VFW was able to donate a mobility chair and lift to a family in need. With their chair and lift donation and 2 new batteries, we were able to do some wiring repairs and maintenance to get into 100% working order. It is now on its way to an active duty service member who's daughter has been struggling with brain cancer. Her wheelchair was hit while on the back of their vehicle. That and her failing health left them in need and insurance is doing what it often does. AUSA Fort Leonard Wood - Mid MO made Guardian Rally Point Outdoors aware of a soldier's need and the vfw stepped up to help. Within an afternoon we got the job done. We hope this small gesture of compassion bring some happiness to the family in a time of uncertainty.

The chair is on its way to the family and pictures of the delivery will follow. No matter the circumstance, we take care of our own.

The parade is neat and the food from these chuck wagons is amazing.

Attention Local Kayakers, Anglers, and River Enthusiasts! 🛶🎣

Guardian Rally Point Outdoors will be scheduling a river float trip in the upcoming months. Our mission is twofold: to enjoy a great day navigating our local Missouri rivers and to put in the hard work of removing trash like bottles, cans, tires, and other debris from the water and banks.
We are looking for specific location recommendations on the Gasconade River, Big Piney, Osage Fork, Niangua or others. If you regularly float or fish these waters and know of stretches that are heavily littered and desperately need a cleanup, please drop the location details in the comments below! Your direct feedback will help us choose the best route to make the biggest impact on our waterways.
(To help us plan efficiently, please keep the comments on this post focused solely on location feedback and river conditions!)
🇺🇸 For Veterans, First Responders, and Family Members:
If you are interested in joining this cleanup float, please head over to the Laclede County Guardians and Supporters Community group.
Keep an eye out over there for the official event post to get your name in, as trip slots will be allocated via randomized drawing or specific individual requests. You can also post any questions you have within that group.
For this trip, we will be providing kayaks, all necessary floating equipment, gear, and meals for anyone who does not have their own.
Let's work together to clean up the rivers we love. Thank you! 🌊💪

Our first night on the water with veteran participants and a spouse was a resounding success, with all anglers, including two beginners, successfully catching fish. The evening was further enlivened by sightings of larger carp breaching the surface and occasionally landing in the boat. The experience was so impactful that one participant expressed interest in acquiring bowfishing gear post-trip. For clarity, Guardian Rally Point assumes no responsibility for the purchase of bowfishing equipment by participants, whether their spouse is aware or not, following the trip's conclusion. We anticipate tonight's excursion with optimism, prepared to navigate less favorable water conditions.

The Saturday bowfishing trip was a success, despite rain limiting our time. We enjoyed the company of a veteran and a guest, and the fish population was moderate but lots of laughts, as is often the case. We appreciate the sacrifices made by veterans and first responders and are grateful for the support from Dawson's Hot Wheels, who support the program and also provide discounts for our veterans.

Trips are done on request. If you are, or know, a veteran or first responder reach out. We bowfish, camp, fish among others. Free of costs with all gear provided.
