VetFest SWVA VetFest SWVA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on reducing military related & first responder suicides. Tragically we lose 22 Veterans per day.

In 2024 we lost 143 first responders to suicide. One is one too many.

VetFest SWVA

💥This Saturday is the day!!! Poker Run time!💥

Please join us for our 4th annual VetFest SWVA Poker Run this Saturday, July 25th!!!

We will leave out from the Food City Parking Lot in St Paul this year and make our way west and eventually have a great meal at Oma's Haus in Coburn. Oma Uli is opening her beer tent for us and if you stick around there will be Live Music starting 6pm, too.

KSU is at 11am and registration begins at 10am. We have awesome raffle prizes and there will be a 50/50 raffle as well.

Please remember that all proceeds go to Stop Soldier Su***de and to local efforts to help service members past and present and their families.

Today's meeting our members is going to be a little different. ❤️‍🩹

These are Ron, Karen Rose Eller and their son Sammie. They are such a wonderful asset to our organization! Be it making Biscuits and gravy, serving food, selling raffle tickets or hauling equipment to a veteran's house to work on their yard. They pour their all into helping us make a difference! They meet everyone with kindness, grace, happiness and a smile

Now, however, they need us!

You see yesterday Karen's sister Beckie was visiting with them and after rocking Sammie to sleep, she got up and suffered a fatal heart attack at their home. As if this wasn't horrible enough, they are now trying to put their shattered family back together all the while trying to figure out how to pay for the funeral. Please pray for this family and send love and good thoughts their way!
